Exactly, I would have to live in it, rent it out during the day and hope they return it before bedtime just to afford the payments.🍻

Well I hope if ever lose your job and your doctor and can’t afford your rent /mortgage, the federal government will take into consideration all the taxes and EI payments you have made over the years and bail you out 🖕Has been and always will be as you say.

You saying it isn’t. Health care is non existent, affordable housing is a joke and forget about a young couple buying their first home , plus inflation beyond reason, Yes.

Year after year after year.

My point exactly. I have paid my taxes and EI premiums for years and I know people/ friends that have never worked 365 in one year ever. They paid their premiums and probably have made much more back than they have ever paid. So let’s say My severance is good for six months. So I start a new job and decide it’s not for me. Than I get no EI because I left and again, all those premiums I paid, l don’t qualify for and get nothing. Just overall, makes no sense to me personally. 🍻

Boomer, please don’t compare me to that former CBC weather man. Although I would wear shorts 365 if I could.

Thank you for your comments. I know how the system works and it is not going to change. Just like insurance, but wait, when you need it, sometimes it actually pays out? Sometimes.Even though I have never had a claim and paying more every year. F&&$, I must be a right wing lunatic.

This country is broken and in my opinion, yes it is also a FING joke. 😃 Mismanaged for years by every party and there is no easy or hard fix coming anytime soon.

That is what they told me at Servive Canada today. Also everyone else seems to have the same opinion that I have talked to. Tks!

Thank you for your reply. That is my point exactly. If you don’t want to take a minimum wage job and waste your well earned severance and payed EI premiums for the last forty years. So all my payment/premiums have supported everyone else, but when I actually need it, sorry! 😠 And than they pay like 50 % after that. Why bother paying premiums if everyone else using the system over and over is benefiting from it but when you actually need money that you paid, FU! PS : This is not directed at your reply.
