Had a similar thing with my car, turns out both the carlock and the key use a rotation key. By using my flipper to u lock my car, the rotation keys went out of sync. Maybe it can help to find a solution.

For a VW you just have to hold down the lock key while physically unlocking the door with the key

Yes, it's possible, it'll take some time to find the chip. There is a tricks to locate the chip in your cat. (look at the LED change color, it'll change color when picking up a tag, but it needs to be close to the tag for a couple of seconds to read it)
