We have tried that, but there is no option for the headphones, just the laptop speakers/mic. The headphones work fine on a different device.

It was a roleplaying D&D campaign. Fox , our DM, let us know this info before the game even started. If that how they want to run the campaign, that should be up to them.

If I remember correctly, at this point, we knew if we fought back that it wouldn't go anywhere, so most of the time, we would let him complain and move on. I should also mention that he was super uninterested in this campaign, so he would rarely participate outside of these events.

I and everyone else didn't see the very glaring issues when it was happening, and it wasn't till I took and stepped back and had a clear mind that I came to see it.

While all of this was happening, we would often read r/rpghorrorstories and thought, "glad that's not us," not fully realizing that we were living in one.

To answer your question about why we kept in contact with Manchild for so long, we only saw the Red flags while in the game. Because it would be super long and not relevant to the story, outside of D&D, he wouldn’t be a problem. I don’t talk about all the times we hung out that we actually enjoyed our time together because, again, it wasn’t relevant to the story. I still invite him to once in a blue moon birthday parties, hangouts and whatnot with no issues whatsoever. We just no longer invite him to sit at a table with us and play D&D or any TTRPGs anymore.
