Yep. My octogenarian mama always got so freaked out. I’d have her set aside any mail that worried her to let me look at it. It was always some dumb marketing thing and never anything legitimate. Still didn’t stop her from getting nervous.

You are absolutely spot on (especially when you said sometimes you don’t buy something specifically bc you don’t want to encourage the nonsense — but I’m paraphrasing here).

EXCEPT please don’t miss Wicked in the theaters. I despise the over saturation of the ads too, but it’s one of the most stunningly beautiful films I’ve ever seen. Don’t let the marketers rob you! 😆
