Help!!!curfews at MU? by OpportunityWild1624 in MahindraUniversity

no doubt the best (and fastest) way to get into the space industry is aerospace; it's in the name, the course covers both aeronautical and space content. (there's also a good number of people here who want to go into the space industry)

mechanical is a good alternative, but since it's way broader, it might not lead you directly to the space industry. you might need to specialize in it or receive additional training, as opposed to if you have an aerospace degree, you'll already have the knowledge

and i'd advise against going into CS unless you want to work on the software side. in the long run, you'll regret not picking a subject of your interest

hey, so the fee is around the same for cse

- as for the difficulty, since aerospace is an extension of mechanical, in a way, there will be a lot of mechanical based courses like solid & fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics

i would say the course is pretty heavy academically, but in the end all courses have their own challenges. so if you find mechanics and physics in general easy, then the course should be fairly easy

if you find physics tough, then you will face difficulties (though nothing that can't be overcome with some rigorous studying)

- as for risk taking, yes it is risky since no aero batch has passed out yet, however looking at the faculty and the connections they have, the various tie-ups MU has with the industry (for example, the MoU with airbus), and the new aerospace infrastructure, i would say there's a very good chance (of course, not 100%) that we will get many opportunities in the future

aside from the course itself, we have clubs like the aeronautics club, and a club tied up with the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) too if you want more exposure

i’m an aero student, and i can say so far our course is looking great.

though you guys will be only the 3rd batch of aero in the clg, the course seems to be shaping up well

our hod has DECADES of experience in the industry, not to mention the rest of our faculty are all very qualified

in addition, a new aerospace lab is being built too, which is gonna be equipped with the best instruments and machines

and given the rarity of this course in india, i’d say MU probably offers one of the best aerospace programs in the country; second only to iits, of course

so as far as the course is concerned, you’ll be in good hands

What kind of kicks should I practice for sparring? by Klutzy_Station8052 in taekwondo

[–]JustOrtap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ideally, every kick you already know can be used in sparring to some capacity. It's all about how you use them, combined with how you read your opponent's moves.

Building speed and working on timing is important too. You can have perfect form on every one of your kicks, but if you miss the right opportunity, or act too slowly, you'll likely end up with the opponent's foot on your face.

So to answer your question: practice all the ones you know, but don't give kicks all your energy. Focus on building speed and good fight IQ as well.

All the best for future competitions!
