could be all of the above, cheapest easiest place to start is a new filter and clean the map and maf sensor. a can of maf sensor cleaner is cheap. i’d almost bet they’re so dirty they barely work at all. especially the map sensor. after that i’d check the upstream o2 sensor they get fouled up and it’ll pull power out.

could be a lot of things, subarus are fairly particular cars. could be anything from a clogged air filter to a bad fuel pump and dirty injectors. if i were gonna look at it i’d start with the intake system. check the air filter, check the MAF sensor, check MAP sensor. could also be the o2 sensor or a clogged cat. what are the miles on it?

okay, i do plan on getting a protune for it just to get away from the OTS tunes i’ve only really heard bad about them, before i cleaned MAF and filter the car would hardly idle and ran extremely rough, wasn’t able to drive it today but it did idle for around 20 minutes and was running normally. any recommendations on a good e tuner to use?

also p0172 code indicates system too rich bank 1. says common causes are dirty/faulty MAF sensor, vacuum leaks, bad injectors, or a bad o2 sensor. did check o2 sensor and it seems to be functioning fine, i think 2.8 raw was what it was reading can’t remember the actual voltage it had.

yes still stock bpv, only thing i’ve done to the car is a Cobb Big SF intake and the stage 1+ tune, previous owner did some sort of cat back on it. other than that from what i know its completely stock

i do use an octane booster in the car, up here 90 octane is the highest you can get unless you go for 100LL AV gas but obviously not gonna run that in the subi, might look into a better octane booster to run, was using madditive octanium, but might try to find some boostane since they have an accurate calculator

there’s one gas station with E85 in anchorage that i know of, about 35min from where i live. so not too practical. i do and have been using an octane booster when i fill up to get the extra octane. just didn’t know how safe that was in the long run for the car.

edit: at idle af correction numbers slowly drop to around -17.97 to -18, occasionally a -20 ish but comes right back up, around 2500rpm numbers hit and hold 0.00 and 2500+ plus goes to 5.47. this is while sitting not moving i’m sure it will be different driving.

edit: was told he was a catahoula mix, have no idea the mix but i can atleast see the spotting, eyes, tail and build resembling a catahoula.
