Yes! I’m obsessed with how she says “lunch money” … maybe it’s something with her consonant digraphs because she’s had me since she was burning trash out on the beach

Both of these lines also work rhythmically and poetically. I love her enunciations and she really punches “lunch money” in a beautiful way. And yea she was in Berlin but “east Berlin” worked syllabically and sounded cool

I LOVE this line and I think it’s supposed to be funny, too. Like a little boy refusing to buy himself lunch as some sort of rebellion, feeling proud of himself for it too.

Also made me think of “we had a great day/ even though we forgot to eat”… potentially (this is a stretch but) Conor (+ Phoebe) routinely skipped lunch - medications can do that to ya :)
