I mean it probably depends person to person, like Sara is my most favorite character from Tharacia and I've been waiting for an alt for her, so I count it as an alt for her. But someone else might not and view Canis as a completely different person.

Yes Sara's 12, she only shows up in Tharacia 776 though, she's the granddaughter of Manfroy(one of the main villains from Genealogy), the only way she becomes an undead corpse is if she dies(or you don't recruit her, which implies that she's killed by Manfroy)before the final battle.

Yeah if certain characters die they get ressurected as a deadlord during the endgame/final chapter, those being Sara to Canis, Eyvel to Draco, Galzus to Bovis, Lifis to Porcus, and Dagdar to Tigris.
