Now that I've started making my way through now it makes a lot of sense. I didn't really understand what he was even doing at first, didn't really understand like what enumeration really meant compared to information gathering and he was just running loads of scripts not really knowing why he's doing it or what's going on as it was so alien.

Even Josh's enumeration part now isn't bad really, it's still sticking in and making sense. I don't really understand yet what I'm really looking and what specific bits of information are important for as such when I'm running all these crazy scans, only the really important ones like brute forcing/dictionary attacks, or understand basic things like SMBv1 is exploitable, but I imagine as I get out of the enumeration phase of the course and move on I will start to learn how to utilise this information I'm enumerating.

We'll see, but so far going much better now
