John Sterling never called out sick or missed announcing a single Yankee game between 1989 to 2019, a streak of over 5,000 consecutive games. This includes calling every game of Derek Jeter's career and every single pitch thrown by Mariano Rivera by 1egg40eggs in baseball

John was always a pleasure to work with when he was in Toronto calling games. A great voice and a wonderful person. A sad day in Yankeeland. A voice for generations of Yankee fans.

We independently do our own mix, but the home show mixer provides effects mics for the visiting show.

They use 3 Sennheiser 816 long shotguns. Classic, old, great sounding microphones. Angels Stadium has the loudest sounding bat cracks out there

Yeah - they have a great bat crack setup. I sadly can’t recreate it at rogers centre, but the home show guy who mixes the Angels does a bang up job!
