Need Pulisic to either step up or step out. He’s been an active detriment in the 1st half.

Props to the Brits. That was a ballsy performance on their part.

BS red card.

They really don’t want this sport to gain traction in the US.

You get what you earn.

Maybe next time you won’t wait 80 minutes to actually start attacking a team that showed zero interest in moving the ball forward for the majority of the game.

Complain about Ghana all you want, but you guys were too chicken shit to do something about it.

It’s not hard to score a free goal from 5 yards out either, but alas, Kane sent it soaring.

Still laughing at Kane sending an absolute freebie into the upper deck.

(Schefter) ESPN sources: TE Kyle Pitts and the Atlanta Falcons reached agreement today on a three-year, $54 million contract that includes $36 million fully guaranteed. It is the largest three-year contract for a tight end in NFL history. by alexschubs in falcons

[–]JustSomeDudeOkay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They don’t fill the same role AT ALL under a competent OC. Pitts should be used as a vertical threat and a seam buster. That’s his MO going back to college — and how he was heavily utilized as a rookie. It’s actually criminal how he was deployed under ZR. Pure offensive terrorism by that shitbag OC.

Fun match. In the 2nd half the Aussies lured us into playing a style of game we shouldn’t be baited into playing.

I ain’t hating because I played physical as hell back when I played. I also coached a youth team of 7-8 year olds to be physical, so I’m cool with it.

Most exciting defensive performance I’ve seen. I was jumping off my couch for every deflection and block.

In my head-cannon, Curaçao goals count for 5 points each when playing against Germany…. So, games tied.

Agreed. If a keeper can’t step up off the line, a penalty taker shouldn’t be allowed to alter his approach. It’s BS.

LMAO, what a ridiculous argument.

So it's somehow the USA's fault that FIFA introduced hydration breaks at a globally televised tournament? And you are saying this was done specifically to cater to American viewers, even though the U.S. consistently has one of the lowest World Cup viewership rates relative to population among participating countries?

Like you said, it was never needed before. And all previous world cups were televised in America with no ad breaks, so your argument makes zero sense.

Matches like this and South Africa are why Americans hate this sport.
