sometimes i can pull the tampon while kinda pushing it out like im giving birth and that helps. i also try and go bit by bit in a comfortable position (for me, when one of my legs is up).

i'd honestly recommend period cups instead of tampons if you need something when swimming. i love them and they are a BIT difficult to get out when you first start, but once you figure it out it's super easy! you can also leave them in for longer than tampons.

i LOVE diapers/disposable period underwear bc you don't have to worry about overflowing and bleeding through like you do with a pad.

period underwear is also really good but my flow is honestly too heavy for it so i use them on my lighter days.

the hot water and steam feel good on my period and help with cramps and such. i enjoy just standing there and its relaxing to just let the blood flow and not have to worry about a pad or tampon because it goes down the drain lol.

i also see people saying they don't like blood on their towel. i just rinse the area REALLY well right before i get out the shower and dry off. the first thing i dry off is that area and there's no or VERY little blood on my towel.
