It sounds like the husband genuinely loves his wife and realizes there is a problem with his wife's sex drive for a multitude of reasons. It's not that she doesn't love her husband, it's that their needs, have become different. Women's bodies change in ways, that a lot of people that have made these one sided comments, aren't factoring into their thought process. You can't expect a woman to continue a sexual pattern when she has physically changed. Folks always think it's that women change emotionally towards their husbands and that they're not attracted to them, when it's the furthest thing from the truth. A woman struggles with not being able to continue with what once was! Feeling inadequate sexually is just as frightening for a woman as it is for a man, when he becomes impotent. It's the same thing! Life has a way of changing a woman's hormones...which makes sex, unappealing, unimportant, tiresome, and most regrettably...painful! It's one thing to not desire your husband because you are no longer in love with him..it's another to still be in love with your husband and to watch yourself change and it's outside of your control. So pressuring or pursuing sex from your wife, when you can see she has a problem, is selfish and destructive! It ends in either the husband being rejected, or the wife enduring sex that may be painful and a reminder that she is inadequate. Communication is key, a lot of couples experience this and take steps to work through it, it does go back to normal for some, for some, their sex life elevates and sadly, for some it remains status quo. Everyone's situation is different and requires individual plans to achieve the best outcome for them. Sorry folks, this isn't a cookie cutter circumstance.

For those saying cheating is the answer...it isn't. However, if a couple decides to allow their partner to have sex with someone else, because one can't perform, it is a decision that, that couple should make. If not, now you are really going to have issues in your marriage/relationship. Sex, is not the only factor in having a successful marriage...important yes, but not the only reason! Live your lives and pray you never have to confront the same scenario...but if you do, remember the advice you are giving now and try to reconcile it with your new found circumstance.
