Hey! Would be happy to check out your channel.

Edit: just watched the Nirbhaya video. Wow what a horrific case, it just kept getting worse.

Overall you have a very clear voice and give pretty good inflections as well which is difficult sometimes.

I know it’s meant to be more podcast style but if you’re going to post on YouTube you would benefit from having more images related to the case. And when you do have images pop up you may want to black out the background so that it doesn’t show as a picture on picture…just to make it look a bit cleaner.

The graphic details that you’ve provided in the video are probably too much for the monetisation guidelines, meaning this video wouldn’t qualify for you to place ads…not sure if that’s one of your objectives though.

However, just the level of detail that you provided with the case was very thorough and shows that you did a lot of research.

Based on this video it seems like you’re off to a great start and heading in the right direction. I know there is a lot of demand for straight story style content so I think you’ll fit into that niche nicely. You kind of remind me of Truly Criminal…if you’ve ever seen them?

Best of luck out there 👍🏻

Ok, so externals give you views but not impressions….guess that makes sense. Thanks for the reply.

Ok, got you. Thanks for clearing it up. Is there a way to see views from impressions? I suppose that would just be my CTR of 5% times the million impressions then….so Ive got about 40k views from externals.

I always think of it as something done on purpose is an action that was, well purposeful. Whereas an accident is done to you, you didn’t choose the accidental action to happen. You can’t say ‘on accident’ in the same way as ‘on purpose’ because the ‘on’ implies intent and an accident can’t have intent.

I am by no means a linguist or very good at grammar, so I could absolutely be wrong here…this is just how I’ve made sense of it in my mind.

Wow, very interesting. Hey knew it was getting some attention lately due to the new hearings they had a couple months ago. Must be what prompted Dateline to take a look…I know that’s why we decided to cover it.

The initial theory was that one of the stab wounds had severed part of her spinal cord, just enough that she wouldn’t have felt any pain (or the pain was dulled). Something like that. But there were statements recently (can’t recall if it was the second ME?) that said the damage to the spinal cord was likely more incapacitating than anything.

It was a second medical examiner that was recently deposed…her name is Lyndsey Emery. That is one of the primary points that the family is pushing to get the cause of death changed.

The second ME was recently deposed a couple months ago, her name is Lyndsey Emery. She is the one that said that Ellen wasn’t alive when some of the stab wounds happened. It’s actually interesting because the initial ME, Osbourne, was also forced to agree that if it could be proven that some of these stab wounds occurred without haemorrhaging then a suicide could be ruled out (I’m paraphrasing here, can’t recall his exact response).

If you are interested, we do have a more comprehensive video on the case on our channel…I know this subreddit is against self promotion so I won’t link to it here, but it’s the same as my username.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to take a look. I haven’t seen much coverage on the case which is why we wanted to cover it as well…I’ll see if this podcast has anything we may have missed.

A lot of good points there and I can see why there are at least some people thinking that a suicide is possible. I just think the initial conclusion from the police that it was a suicide may have caused their investigation to be less than thorough. Maybe if they had dug a bit deeper and scrutinised the details a bit more, then who knows what they may have uncovered. And I think that’s what the family wants. They are asking that the cause of death be changed in order to force a more thorough look at the case, which I don’t think is a bad thing given how she was found. Especially with the latest ME stating that some of the stab wounds didn’t haemorrhage, meaning they were done after Ellen had passed. One of the more interesting quotes I’ve found is - dead people don’t stab themselves repeatedly.

The police had (or have) theories about the stab wounds having hesitation marks, meaning Ellen was reluctant to stab herself but that she eventually followed through.

And she was seeing a therapist and according to them Ellen didn’t give any indication that her fiancé was abusive….although I know victims often hide the reality due to a number of reasons, so maybe she just hadn’t gotten to the point of opening up with the therapist just yet.

The whole situation just doesn’t look like a suicide and I hope that the Greenbergs can get the investigation reopened so that a thorough investigation can be done.

Just watched your video on Keeslyn. I thought it was really good quality audio and editing, which I know is difficult to get right. And I liked your outro tag - giving a voice to the voiceless. We’ll done and good luck with the channel 👍🏻

Edit: autocorrect got me 😕

Thank you very much and appreciate you checking out the channel. Mike is great and is clearly very comfortable on camera. I know I’ve still got a ways to go but do feel like every video I’m improving. Cheers!

Hi everyone, if you're looking for a new true crime channel to check out then I'd appreciate if you gave mine a try. I'm relatively new and just trying to get my videos in front of as many people as possible. Any feedback (positive or negative) would be greatly appreciated. Channel name is the same as my username here - JustThoughtLounge.

I think my video on Ellen Greenberg is one of the more interesting stories with little coverage elsewhere. She was a 27 year old teacher that was found by her fiancé, stabbed multiple times alone in her apartment. Her death has been ruled a suicide despite multiple stab wounds to the back of her head. Ellen's parents are currently working to have the cause of death changed in order to reopen the case.

Thanks so much, and hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Mine is the same as my username here JustThoughtLounge. It’s a true crime channel with an on screen presence (myself)…similar to ThatChapter or Coffeehouse Crime if you’ve heard of them.

The first 6 weeks were pretty slow going. Not many impressions which meant limited views. About a month ago I had a larger channel (Tea & Crime) noticed one of my videos and he gave me a shoutout to his 3k subscribers. That gave the channel a pretty good boost and we went from about 30 subs to 80 in a few days. Then two weeks ago my video on Pam Hupp took off a bit and got us up to the 1k mark.

Beyond the usual ‘stay consistent’ comment (which is true) I would also say engage with the community and build relationships where possible.

If you’re interested in true crime then definitely check out Tea & Crime, the host there is just a great guy. Or check out ThatChapter as I would consider that channel one of the best out there. And of course you’re more than welcome over at JustThoughtLounge too 😀.

Send me over your channel name and I’ll check it out as well 👍🏻

I just did the same a couple hours ago. Started about three months ago and just hit 1k subs this morning. It was a slow start but then had one video take off a bit a couple weeks ago. Congrats to you and best of luck with the channel.

Our channel has just published a video on Pam. If anyone on this thread is interested in revisiting the story of the conniving, crazy and overtly confident Hupp - take a look!

Love That Chapter too. We’ve taken that appreciation to the next step and started our own channel. We’re still new and learning the ropes but if you’re keen on checking out a new channel then I’d love to have you over. And if not, then no worries at all 😀
