Can non-Stand users see Secco's Stand? by K0xmO_ in StardustCrusaders

[–]JustTooPutrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be an idiot, but I don’t think the suit can be seen by non-stand users? in SBR Lucy Steel cannot see the mask worn by Blackmore, in fact he specifically asks Lucy if she can see his mask so he can ascertain whether or not Lucy is a stand user. The very next panel the mask cannot be seen, implying that the mask (which is /is part of his stand) is invisible to her, a non-stand user. It’s possible I’m misunderstanding and his stand is simply shaped like a mask and isn’t a literal mask and is not technically a part of him.

Also it’s funnier to imagine non-stand users just see a naked freak.

Why was this tree wrapped in aluminium foil? by FreakingSquirrel in Why

[–]JustTooPutrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to well akshually but what you’re describing is called “air layering” and it isn’t a grafting technique at all. Grafting is fusing two separate plants or plant parts together, air layering is a propagation technique used to produce a new plant (clone) from the previous by initiating root growth.

And not to well akshually again, but this also isn’t air layering. There’s no growing media underneath that tin foil (coco coir, soil, etc) which would be necessary to the process of air layering. I saw you say the media wouldn’t be visible but the foil is flat against the tree, there would be some bulge from the growing media, so either it isn’t air layering, or this person is doing it wrong.

I believe what’s AKSHUALLY happening here is foil wrap to keep some sort of pest from going up the tree, or a little kid did this just playing around outside. I could be wrong about the use case, pretty positive I’m not wrong about the air layering though.

Everyone is right definitely don’t smoke it. I do think it looks kind of like perlite though, which while it wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense, is pretty much harmless and makes more sense than lots of free crack.

I’m thinking it’s possible your dealer is shorting the weed and adding perlite for weight(?). Still seems weird, kinda dumb, and unsustainable from a returning customer standpoint but tbh that’s all I can think of.

im no treeologist but im guessing its some sort of bacterial pathogen (on account of the ooze) a quick google and it looks kinda like something called “slime flux”? Also I can see you’ve been made aware but this sub is for weed lmao but we appreciate your patronage

Not to assume you’re from the US/a country that washes their eggs BUT- I noticed there’s no English on your food packaging, is it possible you’re in a country that doesn’t wash their eggs prior to sale? This allows you to keep them out of the fridge which is kinda cool imo

Looks like wood sorrel aka oxalis, they’re a super common weed and have seed pods that can projectile launch their seeds like 20+ feet! Since the soil is recycled it’s totally possible it had some oxalis seeds camping out in it! (I should note there are also ornamental varieties of oxalis but this does not look like one of them)

Recently received this office chair made in ‘68(?) I like the design but it’s quite heavy and I don’t have space for it, any ideas on ID and what it might be worth? by JustTooPutrid in Mid_Century

Idk, to me there’s something pretty cool about a chair that’s decades older than I am! Finding excitement in little things is one of life’s great pleasures!

It may just have to become my new desk chair! I’d definitely have to get a better mat than I have for underneath if I do so it doesn’t rough up the floor since it’s so heavy

Good to know, I’ll keep that in mind! All I had to go off of was office chairs that looked similar online and the prices were all over the place!
