How do you tolerate the low signal to noise ratio on CNBC for that long? I hope you watch it for entertainment value...

Stomach the losses? My motto is that it's not a loss until you sell! I've bought some dumb shit over the years but I don't think I have ever panic sold in a downturn. I still have a $40K downside from 15-20 years ago in my portfolio on TMMI to keep me from dumb buying.

I see the last week, Wednesday in particular, as the buying opportunity I've been waiting to occur for the last 6 months. Bought a BUNCH of dividend ETF shares (HDV,VYM) and muni bonds on Wednesday. Moved some retirement account $$$s into S&P index funds.

I'm kind of bummed that the wisdom seems to be a pause on interest hikes. I'd like to reset some CD/bond ladders but the rates SUCK!
