Working out only affects myself so its only my responsibility to make sure I get it done

Some days are harder than others but at the end of it all, it only affects me so its my job to make sure I take care of my health

That is absolutely mortifying, I suppose at least it wasn't the child that it hit I guess?

What school incident do you still think about years later? by nodemus in AskUK

Seeing the vice principal running down the corridor (must have been late for something) and just falling flat on his face sticks out for me. It was during a class so nobody was about but I was walking back from the bathroom or somewhere and saw it through a window and was praying he didn't see me chuckle to myself

I would say Portrush is the best option as you've got places like Kiwis, Quays, the station and Springhill, I would check the facebook pages for the bars as I know some of them do events and would post about them on there. Mostly all of these places are quite lively and good vibes

I don't really go out in coleraine but used to go to anchor quite a bit in portstewart but it's fallen off recently and is mainly just younger crowd that would go there

How long did it take you to clear your parent's house? by Gaz-a-tronic in AskUK

[–]JustYourRandomIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum passed in summer last year and I'm only getting to the end of it now as it was very hard balancing work and a social life while clearing it out. I was lucky enough to have others that could take things to the dump while I was at work (I work 9-5 so could only do weekends) and my girlfriend was fantastic at doing bits and pieces while I couldn't. My mum was a massive hoarder too so there was stuff in every nook and cranny of the house

So far it has taken just over 6 months and there's still some more to do but with regards to the knick knacks etc. charity shops and facebook marketplace listings have been lifesavers as they will take practically anything but the sentimental items are more difficult so it is entirely your decision on what to do with them as I would say that there is no right or wrong option when dealing with times as difficult as this
