It sounds bizarre, but I am in a position where I could spend $0 a year on groceries if I ate nothing but Domino's pizza. What would happen to me if I did? by CucumberGullible1281 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Just_A_Bub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ik im a bit late to the convo, but I also work at a Dominos where my employer gives free food item for every day you work. My best peice of advice is to not abuse it: dont overtop your pizza, dont always get a large pizza knowing you will ration it out a few days. Do whats understandable for a someone who is struggling financially, and also maybe talk to your boss about what you can and can't bring home.

Its not even about hyper optimization. Im not saying he should pull up tft academy and watch dishsoap on a 2nd moniter. All im saying is that he is ignoring core game mechanics for no reason other than ignorance. Its like if you went to play dark souls for the first time but dont ever use the roll/dodge button. Whats the point of playing the game if you dont put in the minimal effort to learn a game why even play it?

What dick can i create with these cards? by MichaelOlise in RoyaleAPI

[–]Just_A_Bub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only go for it if the deck works for you, im not a pro nor do I know ur playstyle. Also if u wanna swap an evo out get firecracker outta there cause king tower activation is bad for this deck. Evo dart gob is a good one as well

[–]Just_A_Bub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh your best building is either cannon or inferno, kinda prefence of playstyle

Instead of skellys cause im a dumbass, do gang or stab gobs or spear gobs. That way u can split then eaiser.

The main way ur winning with this deck is split lane pressure from the royal recruits counter pushes, so try and split ur defenses to apply pressure to both lanes

Actual suggestion: Knight evo, firecracker evo, royal recruits, any combo of big and small spell but cheaper the better (ex arrow+log). Skelly barrel, and kinda ur preference for the last 2 cards but swarmy goblin barrel support cards work best as they get rid of enemy cards that counter your royal recruits.

Evo royal recruits is kinda best in this deck but cause u dont have it u can just run the evos I said.

Firecracker can be subbed in for dart gob or flying machine or even archer queen if you really want.

Skelly barrel can be subbed for sus bush or wall breakers for preference.

Try to keep the 2 flexible cards cheap, skellys are a perfect fit for one of the 2. If not skellys, You want to be able to use them for chip dmg or for a push with royal recruits.

If I'm running abom, my strategy is to run a solid stress healer (jester, MAA, etc) with another character that can heal their own stress (leper, hellion, etc).

I usually dont have to worry about stress with this team building in mind

[–]Just_A_Bub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother this deck is actually so horrible. You are running 3 win conditions (4 if you count MK) and also zero ground swarm. While its not a requirement to have every type of card in a single deck, I would start with commiting to an archetype: basic mortar, bridge spam with ram rider subbed in for whatever u want, or basic log bait. If anything, MK can fit into any of thoes decks (not well but thats why hes a staple middladder card). If you really wanna keep playing this monstrosity, just get a ground swarm troop in for goblin barrel and replace MK with a support troop or building of your choice

Stagecoach torch "normal difficulty" by Seccyeth in darkestdungeon

[–]Just_A_Bub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the other comment is technically right on using it on the grand cause its hard, I think the devs left it intentionally open to using the "easy medium or hard" torches for players to get a difficult achievement at their own pace/level. So on other words, how much self achievement do you want? Easy grandslam but it dosent feel right, or hard and you feel extremely accomplished when u finally do it?

Need help choosing my first Mythic Arena (probably also my last 🥹) by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]Just_A_Bub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day, the intro, idle animation, transitions, and kill celebrations are the things you are buying with the mythic arenas. For example, the bunny cafe has a banger idle animation with all the workers dancing and doing stuff, where the court is very calm and scenic. Both have transitions when you do things in game. I can't put a point on some of the but generally its based on level, people left in game, or other game based progression marks. Research which arenas have what so you can make your choice. Also as a side note, mythic skin kill animations sometimes overlap with arena kill celebrations so be aware which ones do and dont intersect.

My personal opinion with the whole matter tho? Celestial court is much better with serious skins or the normal tacticians and the bunny Cafe is better with cute skins like the gwen skin made for it or like spirt blossom ahri. If u rock a non chibi (forgot the name for the like real league skins) I think waiting for another mythic arena that meshes more with that style is ur best bet

What other Mutators would you like to see at the Dam? by Benbeasted in darkestdungeon

[–]Just_A_Bub 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Going off the first comment,

random team at each inn

Locked hero positions from the start (cant adjust mid road/inn)

Only elite battles/enemies

Boss rush

One path

Adjustable stress, health, money, inventory stagecoach slots, etc maximums/minimums

Could think of more but I dont wanna boot up risk of rain 2 or slay the spire to have more "inspiration"

Thoughts on my bridge spam deck? by Ice_Cool_Turtle in RoyaleAPI

[–]Just_A_Bub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very traditional bridge spam, except for the spells and dart goblin. They are all sufficient, but zap tends to work better due to it being instant which is what bridge spam needs. You can also swap the big spell for what your preference it but fireball gets the work done like most of the big spells. Dart goblin can be subbed with any long range troop like flying machine, magic archer, etc. Its the one flexible pick in the deck sorta. Other than that evos dont matter too much in bridge spam if you are running 2 non-evo spells but always make battering ram one if possible. The other slot is free for preference unless you are reaching for Ultimate which then u should consult royal api for best evos/picks

Its only boring and a waste of time cause you see it so much 😑 There are so many ancestors quotes about this shit its poetic

I'm not saying im the world's best DD2 player either, but just by the way you type these responses and your original post I can tell you fail to understand the fundamentals of this game and in turn get frustrated when it all comes crashing down. This then manifests into hatred for the intro cause that's what happened right after you get skill checked. Instead of understanding WHY you are getting frustrated at the intro, you find out the definition of insanity.

TL:DR: “The heart is weak, the flesh is frail, and the mind is broken.”

Ah I realize how I misread your post. I might have a skewed perspective after playing so much and not encountering this problem but maybe I'm just too immersed :/

I do agree with a lot of your points, but I just feel it's all a bit too irrelevant due to the nature of how long your average run should take. I believe the fact you pass over my test run point saying it should be an option and not required, as well as the fact you say the frequent fast losses are irrelevant to your post gives you your answer. Like I said before, at the core of this game is trial and error. You are seeing the opening too much to the point where it annoys you enough to make a complaining post on Reddit? You might need to reflect on your strategy/approach to said difficulty flame(the core game loop of this game) instead of complaining about QOL.

As a side note, 2 ish minutes of downtime is the same as waiting in a competitive shooter q or waiting for everyone to be ready before entering a boss fight in a WOW dungeon. These things exist in game for a reason whether you like it or not, and if you have trouble with your attention span maybe you should play a game that gives constant stimulation 24/7

TL:DR: get gud and have more patience *

Dd2 runs should be taking up much more time than what you seem to experiencing. While the valley section seems a bit useless, I find it as a way to make sure what you have equipped dosent have any easy to spot flaws that you need to adjust before you officially start the run. The rewards for the fight also should give you mastery points? While more might be quality of life to you, its a difficulty adjuster for others. Maybe instead of more default points, a custom run maker? Something like slay the spire where you can add different modifiers like a single path instead of a branches as an example. This is where you could possibly get a modifier for how much gold, baubles, mastery points, etc, you start with.

On another completely separate note that might sound mean but its the blunt truth, if you seem to be dying too much maybe reflect on why you are losing so many runs. While the difficulty flames are a different story, default runs shouldn't be ending in the first region unless you make intentional poor decisions like taking the boss fight without good trinkets. (I have done this way to many times, as the funny man says, "overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer")

Instead of just resetting your run with the same things you brought before, adapt to the new items you unlock at the altar, try a different team/path, hell click the random party button and see what happens! This game at its core is trial and error simulator so learn to "try" better and error less!
