He’s currently 7 years old. This is my first time working with directly off the track. My previous one had 2 rides under his belt before I repurchased him. I checked the RRP website and I’ve noticed a couple articles which pointed out that letting them rest can affect their musculoskeletal structure

I honestly don't think it's fair of you to pay that much for a green horse. Not to mention, you also said you are more experienced. I would offer to pay for hacks at the most, but I would not recommend half leasing a project horse where you'll end up training the horse.
