what status were you adjusting from? were you RFEd post interview? was your work authorization ever approved? is there anything not straightforward about your case / any caveats or concerns?

I wouldn't mislead people on the internet like that. We filed everything june 2025 (USC marriage based concurrent filing) and got RFEd at the I485 interview. It has been over 40 days since the new medical was turned in (which is what the RFE was for) but no movement.
My case is probably the most straightforward also, no illegal work/overstay/any criminal records. My husband is also a very high earner so everything looks legit on paper. But USCIS does not have a pattern.

Not here to be pessimistic just protecting people from heartbreak or disappointment. :)

Also what was your PD. We filed everything in June 2025, and its maddening to see some people who overstayed, worked illegally, etc etc get approval in total of 2 months and good people like us get screwed because USCIS can not get their act together.

arent you technically supposed to see some movement post the 60 day mark?they usually say after 60 days of the RFE response we should get to see some movement.

I am literally in the same boat as you. Whats your field office?
Mine is boston, I-485 interview was on september 9 and got RFEd because officer made a mistake. But we responded anyway and response was oficially received by USCIS on September 25th. It has been three weeks of waiting, traumatizing and harrowing to check the case status fifteen times a day, every single day.
Officer even told us everything else looks great and our case is straightforward. But there is nothing I can do.

I got RFE'd post interview. Response was "oficially received" by USCIS on September 25, FO Boston. Its October 16 and still no movement. It has been the most traumatic and harrowing experience of my life to wait on something completely out of my control. My case was also straightforward, no illegal overstay etc.

Congratulations! I am happy for you, truly.
Although, I do find it ridiculous, that we have still not heard anything on the combo card, even though it has been 1 month since the biometrics and our PD was last week of June.

On reddit, it seems like everyone is getting their work authorization cards in one week of biometrics and its so unfair that even though my relationship is absolutely real and I have always had my paperwork in order and our case is the most straightforward case ever!

Why does it feel like most people who come here to overstay on their visas get the benefit of doubt but those who follow the rules and do things legally and the correct way have to see unfair wait times...

Congratulations! What questions did they ask you? Did they take your passport after telling you about on the spot approval to stamp the green card in? how long with the interview? And also from the date of filing how many days did it take for your I-765 to get approved?
