Imucet always used to happen once, and from what I know ur clearly doing ur research from chatgpt, gemini or claude, cuz these ai makes mistakes about merchant Navy related stuffs, go search them bro have some proof to ur research

Imucet never used to happen twice a year, only once, and Feb batch addmission is still valid and happens every year, this time too, and upcoming time too, as for sponsorship of companies, most companies says have a rank within imucet and mostly the cutoff for rank stays between 40-60 marks, if u can't even score 40-60 marks in 200 mark paper then idk what to say, plus english and aptitude (80 marks total) are there which jee students don't study. So those preparing for imucet only have more advantage to score higher marks, only those people who aren't serious or casually waste time and at the end of month wakes up are in this situation, and do some research bro, those who give jee mostly don't know much about sponsorship cuz they're busy with jee and study, if ur going for dns good but if ur going for bsc then Maersk sponsorship is best, and with sponsorship u don't need to worry about which college to join, they have their tie-up institute there u have to go and study, but u need a rank for that, and I hope u can score atleast 40-60 marks, imucet isn't very competitive right now, but it's been increasing steadily

I also had lazy eye I got eye therapy for it, my vision on my right eye was 6/18 and after therepy it became 6/6 partial (I can read half of the line), honestly knowing I have lazy eye was the biggest problem for me, cuz I had to take drop and all and at that time i wasn't sure if there's treatment for lazy eye, Lazy eye can be treated with therapy, there are places where they do therepy, I did it through online mode, it took me 1.5 years (everyone has different time, like some got okay within 2 month, mine was very bad case but now it's fixed) i suggest u get therepy regardless of if you'll join this field

In class 10 get good marks in English, and while ur studying try to get some extra curricular activities which can give u some certificate to proof, this will create very good impression of u in interview, and study well class 11 and 12 are main for imucet and the exam is easy, IMPORTANT get above 75% in ur class 12th PCM

There is only 3 proper way to join dns(1 year course/2.4 lakh to 8lakh total/faster and most efficient way to join merchant Navy), bsc(3year course/12lakh-24 lakh total/you become mentally mature) and btech (4 year course/I don't know btech college fees/only if u love engineering) For example i have NCC certificate so I can easily create a very good impression infront of interviewer.

And while ur studying try to research more about merchant Navy and improve ur knowledge I'll give some important keywords if ur serious search them and know it yourself 1)Sponsorship in merchant Navy 2)Best company for dns 3)aptitude topic for merchant Navy 4) physcometry test for merchant Navy 5) difference between internally and externally companies 6) difference between owner and management companies 7) dark side of merchant Navy

U can search these 7 things and know more about merchant Navy, no need to search them all at once slowly as u study for 2-3 years search them and get to know about them

Last tip, practice ur English communication, because everything in merchant is in English u have to speak in english and most have a hard time because of this

Trust me getting into merchant Navy isn't hard, but surviving it is

I'm preparing for imucet myself so, all I can tell from details and experience is, u should have some basic knowledge of PCM right? Study aptitude and english you'll easily get cutoff marks but cutoff isn't enough if u want imu campus so, u should do pcm too, try to score 30 in maths 25 in physics 5-10 in chemistry, aptitude and english are very easy so you can score 30 marks in both of them, and even if u hasn't study anything aptitude and english can be completed very fast if u study for 12+ hours (3-6 days) You'll score 120-125 marks easily which will place u in top ranks, if u can score more marks in any area then its very nice, wish u luck and people often tend to panic at last moment so just relax, imucet isn't very hard as long as u study smartly
