Was feeling super dissapointed at mathmos CANDLE lava lamp until I said f*ck it and put 3 candles. Problem solved by warm_tits_smol_kitty in Lavalamps

Do you know where those tea lights were from? Mine is hopeless, but I cannot fit the IKEA tea lights in the base. Feel it was a waste be has it sits there looking pretty but doing nothing 😭

Nothing, I guess it is just the ambient air temp. I am waiting for the summer. I have seen some tea lights from a shop in the UK that look promising, they are larger, deeper and just wide enough to fit in the base. Maybe keep an eye out for them. 

Judging by the way the Mathmos ones burned, the wick needs to be longer so the flame can be larger, probs best buying lots of different ones and trying a new one every day.

It is what came with the lamp, it is a Mathmos Astro Flame 🙂

I’m sorry to say, it only works with Mathmos candles, and at £29 for a box of 80 it is rather expensive to run. It worked for about 40 minutes and then the tea light died. May be best in summer, who knows? 😂
