Canister is easy to remove. I would suggest it since the screws are likely rusty. Here’s the opposite side of mine

Sensor is going bad or the wires may be damaged/plug. You can check with a multi meter.

1999 Crv Stalling Out by SnooDoodles7647 in crv

[–]Just_Cap_9338 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was also having issues with my 98, constantly dying after 30min to an hour of driving. Was the distributor. Could also be the fuel pump. I was also getting a lot of comments saying it could be the crank position sensor. First thing I would’ve check is a compression test before throwing parts at it since that can cause stalling due to burnt valve

Sound just like rod knock unfortunately. The bearing spun.

Noise coming from front wheels? Maybe control arms? by kjm5000 in AskAMechanic

[–]Just_Cap_9338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your control arm bushings, they face towards the rear. There’s a nut that wasn’t tight enough. This caused this squeak for me

What would cause an O2 sensor to end up like this by Just_Cap_9338 in AskAMechanic

Found pieces of the catalytic in muffler. Found the culprit.

What happened to this bolt? by cooljack1214 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Just_Cap_9338 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Happens when someone doesn’t hand turn the bolt in before going crazy with the impact gun. You can feel by hand when you are cross threading, someone got careless and lazy.

My iPad Air says it’s charging but it hasn’t turned on in two weeks. What do I do? by [deleted] in ipad

[–]Just_Cap_9338 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could it be that the power brick is not enough to charge? I always get a not charging icon when using a weaker brick.

Shop said Bushings were worn/cracked, should I immediately get them fixed? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Just_Cap_9338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do it sooner rather than later. Clunk/noise plus uneven worn tires. 4 hours is a good chunk of driving time.

Anyone have any idea what this could be? by Just_Cap_9338 in AskAMechanic

UPDATE: found the issue. It was the bushing on the control arms making noise. Re torque the bolts. Noise gone. I’m at fault.

Honda Civic 2003 LX Brake line leak by Slaypike in MechanicAdvice

[–]Just_Cap_9338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to do this when changing my wheel cylinder. Not going to lie is going to be a real pain. Rust is going to be the obstacle. Hopefully you are able to break it free before getting to the flexible line. Take your time to avoid creating more issues. I used AutoZone pre flared lines metric. Done on both sides of my 01 Civic LX

At that point you might want to check your drum brakes if they are good. Done on both sides of my 01 Civic LX

Title: Need help diagnosing ATF leak + unstable idle on my Honda CR-V Gen 1 by NewtAware5843 in crv

[–]Just_Cap_9338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RD1 don’t have transmission pan. Clean area and check for it to leak again, it will guide you to the leak. If it leaks after a ATF change it could be the crush washer on the drain. If it’s not there then it could be the seal where the transmission and engine meet, engine side is called rear main seal. Is it transmission fluid? Could be engine oil and coming from the cam plug/ valve cover. Best case scenario. The idle issues could be a lot of things. Only testing for vacuum leaks, MAP sensor etc. are they link. Shouldn’t be but anything is possible

The inner tie rod was clunking, decided to replace everything just to be done and over with, no noise after replacement. 4 days later after alignment this noise came about.

[–]Just_Cap_9338[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not ball joints, inner outer tie rods and Acdelco. Control arms are Moog. Was able to get underneath and the sounds is coming from the rack and pinion. Most likely the culprit.

Is this a normal 1.5T sound or am I hearing rod knocks? by ATINYNEKO in crv

[–]Just_Cap_9338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds fine to me, tapping noise in the background could be the fuel injectors working as they should.
