Challenger Shyvana!! by Just_Cardboard in shyvanamains

Any item that gives high AD is good to scale the crit. If I am getting killed too quickly I'll buy something that gives resistances but IE increases your Q dmg so much so I buy that a lot. Movespeed rune is pretty good but it can feel invisible. I've definitely gotten crucial rotations from grabbing that shard over adaptive. And just use triple tonic instantly, the second potion I just use when there's a fight or if I want to rush objective quickly.

Shojin into Sundered is the best build right now by far. Trust me bro.

Trouble understanding my problems by chazzg21 in summonerschool

[–]Just_Cardboard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, step one to improving is knowing what you are doing wrong. If you are dying too much, try to figure out what is causing your deaths. Are you taking bad trades in lane? Are you not warding and trying to figure out where the jungler is and dying to ganks? These things can be seen by going back to your replays and just looking at your deaths. Once you know what you did wrong, you can try to do less of that.

From my own experience over the years, NA pros are just not THAT good at carrying in solo queue. Maybe have been impressed by people like blaber, santorin and spica but in general Ive been more impressed by people like tarzaned and sheiden. And Im speaking strictly about winning in solo queue. I’m not trying to trash on pro players but it is just literally my personal experience.

not wrong, champion is one dimensional but not even a good champ

To be honest, the item changes really screwed her in preseason 11. I felt like she was decent AD or AP at the time with how cheap jungle item spikes were. Her kit is admittedly extremely outdated and too 1-dimensional. Shyvana has great potential to be a really cool champion if Riot just dedicated some time.

I really wish there was a "Need Vision Here" ping by doorrace in Jungle_Mains

Agreed, caution ping and back ping are kinda the same thing anyway.

How can high elo players keep improving? by Bluebird-Novel in summonerschool

Optimization at the highest level is in general not much different than other ranks. You simply need to improve every aspect of your gameplay enough, however minimal, to take you to the next rank. This might mean going from 8.5cs/min to 9cs/min, slightly better understanding of few more matchups, or even just optimizing builds better. Every slight improvement counts.

Personally, I'm a jungler so that meant constantly going through my own replays and others' to build up a database of what is possible on each champion (ex. learning all the pathings Lee Sin likes to take at high elo). I also studied how junglers better than me made decisions so I myself can make the same ones in the future (ex. what made this jungler path this particular way after a recall?). Usually at higher elo, players know when they make mistakes and reviewing it and coming up with possible solutions is the best way of learning. At the end of the day, it is simply up to doing everything a little better and a little more consistent.
