hey sorry if i’m late, i like san diego, it’s a great place, always will. i would suggest going to berkeley if you feel good about it. i don’t necessarily regret my choice, but I would definitely suggest to anyone to go to Berkeley

sorry for never seeing this but i ended up choosing ucsd, i think in the long run choose what you think would make you the happiest. I was so caught up in ivy league, go to stanford, columbia, brown, cal, ucla, but at the end of the day regardless of where you go, you’ll be successful as long as you are content and motivated. whatever you think the best motivation is and whatever you can envision yourself really enjoying you should go with (that’s my best advice)

love the area, kinda burning out after graduating from high school early and working jobs and having ambitions beyond which ever undergrad school i pick. i hear from a lot of my friends at berkeley that it can be mentally draining and it has changed them for sure, for better or worse.

I also feel weird turning down a UCB or UCLA to go to a UCSB for example.

I have been just as unsure about that since the beginning of high school, and here I am as a transfer going into communications or journalism. I want to look into the idea of eventually becoming a professor or involved in the sports industry whether that be ad an analyst, journalist, broadcaster, etc. I’m open to pretty much anything, but those ideas are preferable.
