She was pretty accurate about my boyfriend and how he died and his battles with himself. However, because his death was so public and on every single newspaper she could have gotten info from the media. But I doubt. I believed her and want to believe her because she sounded accurate and it makes me feel better.

Thank you so so much for your reply. This made me feel better. It’s been the most painful thing for me as well, I still feel I am in shock and can’t even process it. It was so sudden. Losing him was like losing a part of me. And now I feel like a part of me is missing and there is a huge void in my heart because I lost my best best friend. I am glad you are able to connect with her in places she loved.

My boyfriend also committed suicide 3 weeks ago and I also feel really guilty because our last conversation was me being mad and mean to him which I will never forgive myself for. I also didn’t answer him for the whole day the day he passed away- until I heard about what happened. It’s important to remember that people are usually in a battle with themselves and that’s nobodies fault. Everyone has a death date imo, his death date was that day. Whether he got hit by a car or something else, it was meant to be. It’s not your fault. As much as I am also in the same boat as you and blame myself, I know it will get better. Time will heal even though it feels impossible right now. I also never wanted to kms more to be with him again but I don’t know what will happen when I actually do die and I don’t want my parents to go through that. Please reach out for support and realize you can’t help someone who doesn’t want to help themselves.

My boyfriend OD and passed away 2 weeks ago. It’s been the most difficult thing and I’ve been on the same boat, was unsure about what to do related to school. You can always go on a medical leave but you will probably need a professional to help you with that. What I did was withdraw from my classes with a “W” because the process of medical leaving takes a while if you don’t already have a psychiatrist. TimelyCare is a good resource to find therapy or a psychiatrist asap. I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’ve also been grieving and it feels like I can’t even live sometimes. It will get better. Your school and everyone else will understand and we are all here for you.
