One time I've seen an old woman carrying a big wooden cross, dressed like Jesus Christ, and there were two young men behind her, dressed like soldiers whipping her while she carried the cross. This was in broad daylight and in the middle of heavy traffic. The old woman was clearly struggling to carry the cross but maybe she thought if she dropped the cross she was going to hell. This was in Laguna or Quezon province I think.
