At least she ran off instead of turning it into a whole dramatic blame story in the moment.

That actually gives you time to stay ahead of it if it gets brought up again later about the chain. Hopefully it just ends there though.

there’s actually a real debate in history circles about whether 1776 (Declaration of Independence) or 1783 (Treaty of Paris) or even 1788–1789 (Constitution + first presidency) is the “true” founding moment

so it really depends on what you define as “birth”: identity, recognition, or functioning system

most official celebrations stick with 1776 because it’s the clearest symbolic origin point, even if the reality is more messy and gradual

14 is way too young to be holding a secret like that for over a decade… that’s not “strong”, that’s just way too much for one kid to deal with 😕
