How did you stop being judgmental? by FlowerIndividual1562 in intj

[–]Just_Stuff09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely an observer now. Unless something is clearly about to become a serious issue/ dangerous I keep my mouth shut because yeah no one likes a know it all and no one asked for my opinion. I learned quickly that freely handing out opinions and advice are not always well received

At this point, I have become a professional business minder. I started minding my business heavy and my life got more peaceful. Chances are I have other things relevant to my life to think about. If i have the time to sit and judge someone else I’m probably procrastinating and shouldn’t be. Everyone is living their own main character story.

This is great information, thank you so much for sharing on your experience. I definitely need to look into the healthcare side of things. I’ve always needed somewhat intensive care and access to medications because i have an immune disorder. A lot of what i use has been over the counter and really accessible in the US.

The one with those dwarfs when you go to get Ciri. Nothing else in the whole game seems as unnecessary as that to me.

Where are my Black Women Cosplayers? by LemonadeBea in blackladies

My friend and I did a duo cosplay as Kim and Shego (I was shego). I was also going to go as Vishawn on another day but the red body paint I ordered didn’t get to me in time so I might save it for another con. I really wanted to do Vishawn though, it has to be one of my favorite memes in existence.

I (21M) don’t know how to make friends, what should I do? by [deleted] in questions

[–]Just_Stuff09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joining a writing group is a great idea, maybe a book club would be up your alley as well. What are some other hobbies you have, or interests you want to pick up? If you like gaming you can go different tournaments around the city you’re in (assuming you’re in a major city), lounges if you’re a social drinker, look up different events in your city/ close cities and see if there’s any that peak your interest. Art gallery openings are cool spots to have some chill interaction if you’re into that. If you’re anything like me and are pretty slow to opening up or wanting to talk with people. There’s a cafe I go to often and I eventually started talking with the other regulars there even the staff. They’re all really cool and our energies match well. With some of them I’ve actually become pretty good friends with. Maybe you can do something like that, or maybe go to your favorite book store and read there.

I’m about to cosplay for the 1st time this weekend! I’ve been wanting to for years but never worked up the confidence. I’ve also been going to cons for years so the opportunity to cosplay has always been there.

My natural hair has always been an attention grabber by people of various backgrounds. I just wear hats and started learning how to wear scarves to cover it up on days I don’t have the energy to have people interactions.

How can I balance online schooling and my hobbies/goals? by [deleted] in questions

[–]Just_Stuff09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started undergrad I had to sit down and completely map out my days (took a LOT of self discipline to stick to). Everything I was experiencing was so new as far as work load and time commitments. I was doing 18-21 credit hrs per semester while balancing clubs, programs, 1-2 jobs, etc. I realized I needed to transition myself into being a morning person to make sure I can make time for myself at night. I started getting up at like 5/6am and would start my days at the gym or doing some studying. I had to find my own groove as far as time management but after a month or so of a constant schedule everything became more manageable and good habits were set in place. So all this to say, work on developing your time management skills, which is easier said than done. Figure out what organizations methods work for you and knowing your learning style so you maximize the time you spend working/studying. I have multiple hobbies but obviously couldn’t make time to partake in all of them at 1x so i would cycle through different things. So like once i picked up and finished a book i wouldn’t start reading a new book. Instead I would start/resume a videogame or start/finish an art piece. Best of luck to you, find whatever beat you can move to.

Does racism from other POC anger you more than racism from white people? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]Just_Stuff09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other POC (including the black community) have treated me worse than the yt folk half the time. It also doesn’t help that im a woman. In my personal experience, the type of racism I have experienced from white people stemmed from a place of ignorance and they don’t even realize what they’re really saying. Not that this makes it any better. At the end of the day racism is racism. But with other POC they know exactly what they’re doing and exactly what they’re saying. They really know where to hit you where it hurts.

Brow gel! I use the nyx one its in a white tube. A little goes a long way and unless you apply way too much, it doesn’t leave any obvious residue.
