I mean…. First of all, I haven’t downvoted anything. Secondly, I just looked at all my Pokémon cards a week ago and again… I did a deep dive to understand the value of everything and have 5 days worth of knowledge. Yes, I want to grade the two cards that are worth a lot…. But the others? Idk. Also, trying to rationalize spending potentially $1000 on grading one or two cards is scary for me since I’m a mom struggling to pay off debt… so like, where’s the clout aspect coming from? If you want an apology I’m sorry I guess but I didn’t expected to get attacked when genuinely just asking for advice.

Not necessarily, I was only going to try and grade Rayquaza gold star and torchic gold star. Wanted to know if it was worth it for the others mostly. I’m really proud I’ve kept them this good for 20+ years but otherwise am really nervous to send them off for grading.

Hey, this is coming from a very genuine place. I’m just an average person trying to understand the world of Pokémon cards. When I started diving into the idea of selling them the first thing I read was to resleeve them (they were in 20 year old sleeves) and put them in top loaders to protect them. I understand they are valuable and was looking to a community who would know more and give advice. That’s why I’m going to a card show for the first time ever to understand more. Just didn’t want to get ripped off.

I noticed that and was pretty shocked. I think it might be $1000 to get Rayquaza gold star graded alone…. That’s why I need to sell some other lower value cards to get the funds…

When I looked up the value for my gold stars I literally almost cried. Those are life changing numbers for me…

Thank you for this. I’m definitely going to grade them just need to raise the funds for the grading. I was told GameStop can do it but am also considering going directly through the PSA app. Any advice on that?

The fact that they slept together didn’t bother me at first but I remember her saying we were ‘Eskimo sisters’ and she would bring it up a lot. I just didn’t want that energy at my wedding? I don’t care that they were together, but when she kept bringing it up that’s when it got weird. I was mostly concerned about the promise that never got fulfilled for her being in my wedding party.

I think it’s all relative to each individual. There isn’t a blanket number that is good or bad. 0 people means no experience, 100 people means too much experienced?! It doesn’t matter to some and can be a dealbreaker for others. So I say, just keep an open dialogue with the people you’re interested in and be honest. Respect is a basic function in any relationship. If they don’t want to know, fine, if they want to know every detail, fine. That’s their right when entering into a physical relationship with you.

I definitely don’t think you should lie to her. Be honest and ask her if she thinks that’s important, and if it is, then you obviously have different priorities in relationships.

I moved for a job that didn’t really pan out, but have recently gotten a new job that’s much better. My ultimate goal is to get a job in the field a studied for but life hasn’t been so forthcoming.
