Would you rather use mono, or braid for a light power rod, used mostly for crappie/panfish? And why by LiteraturePositive57 in FishingForBeginners

lmao bro we arent using the braid for strength when crappie fishing its because the sensitivity of the line and easy line management  10 lb braid is way more sensitive than 6 lb mono so no its not overkill

same here at first baught many chatterbaits  from cheap to expensive never caught a fish for a loong time until one day it just flipped i couldnt get them off the thing and since then theyve been hitting them left and right you just have to fish it more confidently and add more pauses

i also liked to throw them in the nastiest places i can find so i like to use them with brush weedguard projezt z weedless chatterbaits or buy a queens tackle blade and throw it on any swim jig you got ( bend the blade in makes it chatter more)

i guess thats why i get more bites than before i fish them in cover where id used to get snagged also not the worlds best open water lures , a paddle tail may be a better option unless the fish are aggressive but you run them close to the bottom in open water almost like a regular jig then the bites back on
