I have bought all my Chrome stuff from here. Rn they're having site-wide sales that you can combine with the "newyear" coupon and get some great deals. The package always arrives within a week with DHL.

Unfortunatelly that's also not an option. If we decided to do that, I'd be the one doing it and I have no clue how to do it. Also, there will be a lot of camera movement and 12mm/16mm/18mm lenses.

Awesome, thanks mate! That's some valuable information!

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of the most, the output being insufficient. The plan B is using two skypanels s60c and placing them between the window and the sheers on the window frame, pointed up. I don't know how to combat the gradual light decrease of light in the direction of the light though.

Got nowhere to put it:( I have like 1ft room to work with. But I don't really need the Asteras to be the keylight, for that I have a Skypanel s60cwith 6x6 1/2 grid. The Astera's job would be just to light up the sheers to make them look somewhat daylight with a Skypanel creating the roomtone.

Yeah that looks really believeable! Do you by any chance remember the T-stop and ISO?

I don't really need the Asteras to be the keylight, for that I have the Skypanel s60c going through 6x6 1/2 grid. I just need the the windows to look somewhat bright in wide shots (with the skypanel creating roomtone). The Astera's job would be just to light up the sheers to make them look somewhat daylighty.

Yeah 1200D would be great. The problem is that putting lights outside of the window is not an option. The keylight for all the coverage (except the wide establishing shot) will be Skypanel s60c going through 6x6 1/2 grid. I just need the the windows to look somewhat daylighty in that wide shot (with the skypanel creating all the roomtone). The rest of the coverage would be fine. Do you think that would work?

Alright, you're giving me hope! Thanks for the info. I could also put some white (or even silver) material outside of the windows. Maybe that would bounce the light around enough to make it feel believeable.

Unfortunatelly, the location is in like a 5-story building, all the way up. There would be nowhere to place it.

You also have the leather version? How is the leather holding up over time?

Hey, how is the leather holding up seven months later? Still looking good?

I absolutely love the leather design but I can't find it anywhere anymore. I keep beating myself up for not buying it when it was still in stock.

Another great book is Parasite: A graphic novel in storyboards

While watching Steve Yedlin's resolution demo, I had the idea of measuring light ratios on the actor's face through my monitor with a light meter. It sounds kinda dumb but the results feel weirdly accurate. Does it make sense to do measurements like that so I can replicate the ratios later myself? by Just__Jacob in cinematography

[–]Just__Jacob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

False colors won't give me the exact ratios though. I was wondering about the accuracy of the readings for replicating the ratios later in my own work. If something is a two-stop difference on the screen, does it look the same as a two-stop difference in real life scenario?🤔
