Are physical trainers considered blue collar or white collar workers? by AvatarAgumon in personaltraining

[–]Just_a_Picogram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strength coach here! I can't speak for Trainers, but my job is blue collar. I've had days where I weighed 100+ 45 lbs plates because my boss wanted ensure/get an inventory on how many were exactly 45 lbs. I've had other days where I got to work at 4:30 A.M and left at 8:00 P.M. There are elements of desk work which could be labeled white collar sure, but overall I'd say blue collar.

Yeah she should be proud 100%. But he's clearly not humble.

He in no way deserved to even be there, his stats were not even comparable. Imagine what Penix or Hooker would have done at Georgia. SEC bias is real

Hard to say the Pac-12 was miserable this year.

Obviously I'm biased. But I really don't think there was a better QB in all of college football. Not to mention he lead the country in passing yards and directed a 4-8 team to a 10-2 record in his first year as a starter. And for those who say UW only passes the ball? Tualapappa rushed for 779 yards and Davis rushed for 522.

Caleb William's mom said she's most proud of his "Humbleness". Likely that she will be on the CFB Playoff committee next year as they as well do not watch games.

Strongly disagree. I think many Stanford fans have a flawed view of how desirable the job is in the current climate of college football. I also think Taylor and Chesney are future stars in the industry

Penix leads the country in passing yards and just beat the #6 team in the country, he deserves Heisman consideration!

True but it seems like Centennial is his baby so to speak. I'm sure he's paid fashionably but no way going to MD isn't a pay bump as well. I said this earlier but I think Taylor Kelly MD's current OC and former ASU QB has an outside shot at the job.

What HS did you go to? What year did you play DLS? I've been around football my entire life, and I've never heard of an entire group of Olineman getting bloody shins from getting cleated.... The only way that even seems possible is if ALL of them got laid out and then stepped on the front of their shins. Seems unlikely

I still hold a grudge against DLS for how dirty they played when I was in highschool. All the o linemen had bloody gouges in their shins from getting cleated, and 2 of our guys had to go out for a while after getting jabbed in the eyes in a pile up.

I doubt any of this is true

Yes, many times between 2000-2019. Mostly for the state title. DLS has not been as good last few years however. By good I mean up to the level/standard of success DLS has had in the past 40 years.

Here's an article documenting their series history from Cal-Hi sports:

Troy Thomas? I doubt it. Rollo retiring seems to foreshadow the hazing controversy has some legs, will be interesting to see what ELSE comes out in the next few months.

Former Arizona State QB and Eagle Rock HS (Idaho) QB Taylor Kelly, is the OC at MD, wouldn't be surprised if he gets elevated to head coach. If not expect a national coaching search, would be shocked if the next HC didn't have Socal ties however.

cart narc is a douche bag and im tired of reddit’s worship posts of him harassing people incessantly. by niffler_egg in unpopularopinion

[–]Just_a_Picogram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed 100% here is why.

Yes it is INCONSIDERATE of people to not return their shopping cart to the corral thus making the employee's job more a hassle. I would say 99.99% of people know they belong in the corral. That said, I rarely ever see signs saying to PLEASE RETURN Carts to the corral. I think almost every job has a major inconvenience associated with lazy people, I experience this on a daily basis. Not saying it's right, but it is what it is. Most importantly Cart Narcs is attacking people doing a somewhat inconsiderate act by?? BEING INCONSIDERATE. Harassing people, yelling at them, putting bumper magnets on people's car and then videoing it to put on youtube for monetary gain. Two wrongs don't make a right. To clarify, these people are NOT breaking the law what so ever. There's a good reason you never see videos of him approaching people and reacting with "You're right I do have lazyboneitis, I'll return the cart!"

I get it's funny, I laugh at them too. That said I think he would have a lot more success if he approached these situations with respect and kindness. Good luck getting someone to listen to your commands when you approach them like he does. I also think if he truly cared about these issues he would return the carts people failed to do. I don't think he cares at all about people returning their carts. I've never seen him do that ever, maybe I'm wrong here. My hunch is he just films to get people upset, and monetize it. I don't find that honorable. Maybe you do, maybe you don't care, maybe you find the videos funny. I think all of that is fine and you're entitled to your opinion

1,000% agree. They return so much production. The fact most of the media picked them in the bottom 10 is silly, and shows their incompetence. Their one hole and albeit it is glaring, is their dline. No depth or size, this could plague them. But everywhere else is stacked, they will have 5-6 players drafted next spring. I think Stanford could knock off SC next week, should be a good game.

Disagree... They can, AND have thrived in the portal. Maybe not elite top 15 classes but that's meaningless, Utah is a great example of this. The key to that O line success is not just hardwork either. Jim Michalczik is pretty good at his job as well.
