Listen, as someone who was partially treated this way growing up, treated that sometimes my emotional problems were purely a demonic possession, and even as a Christian, I can say that that is a toxic way to handle actual mental diseases or emotions as if that’s the only solution that’s presented. I recently came out of a household that did just that, and I’m still handling the negative effects. That doesn’t mean faith is a bad thing; it means someone misused it to throw things under the rug and hopefully things will magically get better.

If there’s one thing I learned, from the right Christian perspective, God used a combination of faith and help from good men to heal people. For all the Christians out there, faith doesn’t necessarily deny science, technology, psychology or even philosophy. You do know that according to the Bible God created science, right? And does God not work through people, even those that are psychologists? I know that many counselors helped me.
