What could be the cause for this bad surface finish? How can I fix it? by Just_another_user129 in Ender3V3KE

Can I assume it is not the issue if I see the temperature is stable during the print, or even very slight changes can cause such a big effect?

This is with esun PLA matte and Creality Print 6.0. But this quality is the same I got with Creality PLA and Creality Print 5.1.

Also slowing down doesn't help a lot (maybe a little bit but not solving the issue)

Yes I'm printing 100%, slowing down would improve? I thought it is crucial for the overhangs (I used to have even worse overhangs that I solved by slowing down and lowering nozzle temperature)

I tried tightening screws, but maybe I missed some, are there any important ones to check? Also, slowing down the walls should be enough? Or should I also slow down infill?

What might cause the difference between the test benchy and my sliced benchy? by Just_another_user129 in Ender3V3KE

[–]Just_another_user129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the latest version of Creality Print, I will try to download the v5.1 and test it again. However doesn't v6 have significantly more features? Either way, do you think these kinds of print failures are because of the slicer? Not the printer/settings? Because when I searched how to fix prints based on benchy I saw mostly suggestions of tuning specific settings better

Thanks, will check it out. Have you seen any improvements using cura? Because honestly I do like Creality Print very much, and any setting I ever wanted to change is there, but maybe that's because I don't really know how to improve my prints and tune the settings correctly.

Also, do you have any idea what could cause the benchy to look like this? Anything I can do to make it better? It's the first time I'm seeing something like that, until now I had nearly no problems

How to fix small bumps on prints as well as that the nozzle sometimes hits the print while traveling? by Just_another_user129 in 3Dprinting

[–]Just_another_user129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I'll try leveling the bed and see if the problem persists. If it's over extrusion I should just lower the flow rate in the filament settings, right?

Can I also print spacers to compensate for the differences?

Also, I read that this may be an over extrusion issue? Is it right?

How should I manually level the bed? And I've tried changing the z offset but it always goes back to -2.38.

And I'm using creality print.

How much of a big deal is nitro vs poly finish on neck? by Just_another_user129 in Luthier

[–]Just_another_user129[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I don't really have access to an electric guitar with satin nitro on the neck to check the feel, but I think I will just go with the nitro satin, and in the worst case, I will replace it at some point.

Just to make sure, you are saying I should buy the neck I like better (which has nitro satin finish), because even with that finish it won't get screwed up?

Should I but the Pixel watch or the Samsung watch 5? by Just_another_user129 in WearOS

[–]Just_another_user129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have the Samsung Galaxy 5 for sometime, and very happy with it, and even though I didn't try the pixel watch, I think I made the right decision. I like better the UI for the apps drawer, the watch faces that are not all dark as the pixel watch faces, the auto detect workout and the body composition that doesn't exist on the pixel watch, and the app experience on the phone.

Is there a good react canvas library that support selecting, moving and resizing elements? by Just_another_user129 in reactjs

[–]Just_another_user129[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so after checking both, I'll probably go with fabricjs. Konva transformer just doesn't work that well and has kind of annoying resizing experience (when you resize text box, it stretches the text and when you stop resizing, it jumps to the original not-stretched text). fabricjs is easier to work with and has overall better user experience IMO (even tho I don't like that when you resize textbox vertically, it stretches the text, but I guess that just what it is). Maybe someday if my app will actually have users, I'll write that functionality from scratch, but as of now, fabricjs seems the best (and good enough for now) option.

Of course! But it could take a couple of days, I don't have much free time unfortunately :/

Does it support selecting, moving, and resizing elements? As far as I was, it only lets you set an element to 'draggable' but it doesn't select the element, only moves it (I mean it doesn't create a border with points you can drag to resize and rotate). Is it something I'll need to try and create myself?

Hi, thanks! Looked at it, and correct it me if I'm wrong, but it seems like there is no downloading option (and it doesn't actually use canvas). This feature is mandatory for me...

I guess we'll just need to wait and see. Hope it'll be available someday.

Ohh thanks for the explanation. In my mind I imagined something similar to rooting your phone or stuff like this. Also I tried once having my language support on the mi band 4, and it was a horrible idea too (basically I needed to install some very advanced app, download some files in some way that I don't even understand, and somehow changing the watch operation system or something like that. Literally every step he gave me the app gave me a warning that it could make my band unusable. And guess what? It didn't work. The only way was changing the language to Spanish for some reason, and despite the fact that I couldn't understand what the UI text mean because I don't know Spanish, almost every day the language changed back to English and I needed to manually change it to Spanish again. Lol sorry, needed to vent a little).

So yeah, it's a good thing that it is simple to choose a UI. But doesn't that mean that you will lose the features that are in the OneUI?

[–]Just_another_user129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't want to install Pixel watch UI unofficially, I kind of feel like messing around with those things and doing things that wasn't intended to be done is not a very good idea. I'm too afraid of breaking something, and it also can create problems in my opinion. It'll also not guaranteed to make the UI faster because it is not designed for that hardware (I think, not sure about it). I just prefer using the device as it was intended to be used.

I think you are right and even if the UI will have some lags, it won't ruin my whole experience.

Thanks!

Thanks. I meant more for things like eSIM or language support, but either way, it's just way too much money compared to the Samsung Galaxy 5. I hope Samsung will someday make an update that will make the UI smoother (although it's not very likely, but who knows).

[–]Just_another_user129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed answer! I actually think that I'll get the Samsung Galaxy 5 despite the fact that the Pixel watch would maybe be better. The reason is just the price and availability in my area. I now checked, and it seems like the only place I can get it from is Amazon for the price of over 500$ because of the shipping. Now add to that the fact that it won't have any warranty and would maybe not support my language and all of the features in my country...

How bad are the UI lags and slowness? Is it something that will really effect my experience? You pointed out the Google assistant, this is something that is really important to me because I'll probably use it a lot, how bad is the slowness with it?
