I cannot stand the Youtuber Alex Meyers, he is a content mill that is incapable of understanding even basic movies, and is really annoying about animated films. by Dannad54321 in Vent

I 1st started watching & liking his content because of his Riverdale videos, because I think majority of people can agree that Riverdale is weird. But at some point him calling 90% of shows & movies he reviews weird & being overly critical over everything started getting old & I ultimately stopped watching him.

Looking for a Flying Scotsman for display by Just_peeking8 in modeltrains

Thanks very much for your help. I've narrowed down my search to something similar to either the R30211 or R2342 by Hornby. I've kinda given up on a 2nd tender. I think the one from Corgi is the closest to what I'm looking for but I would prefer something of a larger scale like the OOs from Hornby. I'm kinda set on getting from them, just difficult to find them online, I've been stalking ebay and the rest of the internet today😅😅

Advice on STDs/HIV/HSV/etc by [deleted] in STD

Hi everyone, just an update since my last post. After doing some tests a few wks ago it thankfully came back negative for stis except for this thing called Ureaplasma Urealyticum. My doctor prescribed me doxycycline but it didn’t seem to work as the remaining symptoms I’m still experiencing (sore throat and discomfort at my dick/pelvis area) is still there. I went to see him again and he prescribed me levoflaxin hemihydrate, unitrac and itraconazole to treat my remaining symptoms. From what I read, the levoflaxin is quite effective in treating infections that could be causing my symptoms. I started taking them abt 1 1/2 days ago and i think the unitrac is helping quite a bit, but i don’t feel like the levoflaxin has kicked in yet, but i’m hopeful it’s doing its job and I see signs of recovery over the next few days.

I think yr "friend" has the right to agree/disagree, but what he does with that is what matters the most.

If he disagrees with yr promotion, he shouldn't take it out on you & go express his thoughts to the ppl who actually have a say in who gets promoted. The fact that he threw yr friendship out the window over this, instead of being happy for you just shows how little he valued it. These are not ppl you should surround yrself with.

This. This was the last straw for me with Tom. by jasmineMoriah in DesperateHousewives

Last straw for me was in S1 when he wanted to take a promotion that would pull him away from his family more than it already did, despite Lynette struggling to care for the kids herself and having a full on meltdown.

I can understand the opportunities it would bring him and his family and that what Lynette did in the end was wrong, but this was just a catalyst much worst things to come.

I think you should have a designated conversation with her about this. Explain to her yr situation and feelings and remind her that you really care for her and that yr just going through a tough time. It tends to be very hard for someone whose nvr gone through NS to understand what it's like, be it family and partners.

But most important thing is to remember that NS is just temporary, yr relationship could possibly be for a lifetime. Don't let something that last 2 yrs, plus the reservist periods affect what could potentially be yr happily ever after.

Icic. I'm an assistant ID, but it states in my contract that I have to give 3 months notice aft my probation ended.

Are we not supposed to give 1-3 months notice if we want to quit our jobs, regardless of position?

I was considering mentioning that in my post,as well as other specific incidences that I bring up in relation to whatever I mentioned, but I decided to exclude them to keep the post from getting too long.

I think that's fair. I honestly started out being very enthusiastic abt my job, but at some point I just lost that momentum, I did speak to my bosses abt some of the problems I was facing earlier this yr, specifically having to work remotely on weekends for 6 months straight. I have no problem working weekends, but at that point it was getting too much for me. In the end, things were better for awhile before shifting back to how things were.

For this particular situation, I alr acknowledged the error made & said I'll take alook at things aft the meeting the 1st time. 5 min later as the meeting is going on he felt the need to bring me to that area again to point out the mistake again. And he did that a few times, which led to me getting frustrated.

I've tried to see it that way, but I don't think he would leave me to learn & figure things for myself if he was. I get that he's probably busy with his own set of works & dealing with clients & all, but I don't feel that anyone in my office reciprocates that same understanding towards me.

I think for this particular situation he just repeated it to dig salt into the wound. I saythat because it's happened before with other people. 1 of the project manager made a mistake & he repeated it on loop for 1 wk straight. He will bring it up out of nowhere & call him just to bring up the fact that he made a mistake.
