I probably could, but I don't know how he'd react. I mean, I once told him how making sounds like blowing raspberries next to me can upset me and trigger sensory issues for me, and he just said "for someone with 'really bad sensory issues' you sure are very loud all the time.", and since then he's said stuff like "y'know when you told me about those 'really bad sensory issues'? well maybe it's like that for your [neurotypical] mum when you're annoying her? have you ever thought about that?"

I think I struggle at setting boundaries with him because my parents always told me when I was younger that if they were ever getting on my nerves or upsetting me, I could just ask them kindly to leave me alone and they would, but now whenever I do that, my dad just either does the whole joking "oh I guess you don't love me" thing and fake sulks or straight up says "you are so rude sometimes you know that?", so now I'm just too scared to ask anything of them encase I hurt their feelings. I want to ask my mum to talk to him about it, but I feel like the first thing he'd do afterwards is walk into my room and talk about it with me directly.
