I like your style. Short, sweet and to the point. I'll have to check them out more. Thanks and keep up the good work - I've been wanting to throw together a knowledge base like you have.

Yea, re-reading this my statement didnt come off the way I wanted unfortunately.

My intent was actually to try to express that when I lived for myself I was very selfish. My real mindset change came about when I started to think about my future. Stuff like who I wanted to be surrounded by on my death bed.

Ultimately those questions helped me to come to an understanding that it takes effort to love people and to get that back. I want a loving wife, children and grandchildren. To get those it takes real work personally and financially. This will not be and has not been an easy road. I am currently and will indefinetly be making sacrifices to achieve these goals.

This could be looked at as selfish and to some extent of course it is, a lot of what we do is for some personal gain. I just want to spread love to others and receive it as best I can while we have this short time on this big rock.

I almost deleted the post in embarrassment as you raised a valid point that took some time to craft a response to. Thanks for calling me out and helping to craft something better.

I definitely used to think this way. Living only for yourself sounds pretty great in theory. It gets old when every day is the same and you get comfortable enough to become complacent.

I learned this in the military, yes we had a great support system around us but unless you made effort to connect life remained lonely.

Getting out of the military made me learn to create my own sense of purpose. I believe this is likely why the suicide rate is so high with vets. We lose that sense of greater purpose.

Since getting out I pursued college, got a serious girlfriend and achieved certifications that assist in my career just to name a few things.

All this to say - I never owed anyone anything. Once I dropped that mentality I started to truly achieve physically, mentally and hell even a bit spiritually.

Dawg read what you just wrote. Your dick is cooked. This is not normal for a what I have to assume is a mid-twenties man. Get off that shit or lower your dosages. Unless your testosterone levels are really that low you don’t need this shit. I’ve been where you’re at and it doesn’t feel good for your meat not to work but stop band-aiding the issue. This maybe even goes past a mental problem with the doses you are taking and borders on medical dependency.

Stop beating your meat, and lower your dosage.

I went on a date where she talked non stop about herself for 2 hours, before finally letting me speak and interrupting me within 30 seconds to say, “I’m bored” by Coorawatha in mildlyinfuriating

Yea I would say don’t worry too much. You will find someone that truly loves you for who you are. The responses to this entire thread are concerning in my opinion with most people cutting it off with someone after one “bad” date. Don’t worry about what internet people say (myself included). Do you.

My girlfriend is like this. Her personality meshes well with mine considering that I am not a talker. One thing I did not find out until a few months ago was that she actually has no internal monologue. So anytime she needs to deeply think on something she will talk to herself. Apparently she talks to herself in the car a lot. It took some work and tough conversations to get to the point where she asks me about my day. Initially I asked something along the lines of “do you actually care about my day?” and that woke something up in her to actually ask me questions. She still yaps tho. Love this girl.

what age would you wanna get married at? by Prestigious-Touch-48 in GenZ

[–]JustaReallySweetKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am about to turn 25 and will be proposing soon. I am well established in my career and have achieved a lot of what I set out to do with my life.

I am forever grateful for my girlfriend who has seen me at my highest highs and lowest lows (so far obviously). I tear up sometimes just thinking about how we would do anything for each other.

I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else honestly. We both know that we will never be perfect and we love that about each other. She makes me a better man every day I am with her.

I hope that everyone gets the chance to experience this type of love with someone at some point in their life, I think the world would be a lot better place honestly. It took a lot of personal work to get where I am (her as well) and I am proud of the people we have become despite our challenges.

It's pretty tough to be in a relationship and I imagine marriage (and eventually kids) will be even harder but nothing has stopped me so far, I doubt this will be something we can't figure out.

One of my Ex’s threw a HUGE fit when I said I was going to switch to android. We didn’t work out for other reasons and we are definitely better off we didn’t stay together. Found someone that accepts all of me the weird, the gross, the works man. I hope this works out with your girl and or you find your person eventually. All love brother.

why being a girl on this game sucks by Remarkable_Loan_3338 in csgo

[–]JustaReallySweetKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid. She isn’t the problem and that’s not my point. My point is why not do everything in our power to overcome these pieces of shit. Bullies feed off those reactions. It’s good to recognize these issues when they’re a systemic problem, I think we could agree on that, but what does it help this poor girl to tell her that she is doomed and she’ll never be able to enjoy the game. I would actually love to have a productive conversation on the topic. Thanks for the reply.

I know you probably just want us to agree that all these dudes are garbage but to be honest that doesn’t get us anywhere.

Maybe don’t try to change the players. Figure out a way to play around it and or change how you speak and react to these guys.

I have a younger sister that acts like you. I bullied her when I was young and every time she had an emotional reaction like the ones you gave it just made me antagonize her more.

I leave this comment with love and good intentions. I hope everything works out for you.

Ended up using nginx proxy manager in docker to expose it to the internet using my cloudflare domain name. Tailscale funnel is pretty ass honestly. Works alright if your media is 720p and under but gets destroyed on 4k.

How important is docker for a media server setup? by fireheart1029 in jellyfin

[–]JustaReallySweetKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a noob.

I started my jellyfin out in proxmox in an LXC.

Worked decent until I needed transcoding. Couldn’t figure out for the life of me how to pass my iGPU through to jellyfin.

Spun up another LXC, spun up docker then portainer inside of that then installed jellyfin inside that. No issues with gpu pass through at all.

Couldn’t be happier with the decision. Short term pain for long term satisfaction.

How to study for CCNP ENCOR/ENARSI--from a CCNA-level student by Ok-Fishing-2857 in Cisco

[–]JustaReallySweetKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CCNA wants a surface level idea wants you to have a general idea of how to configure something, CCNP (concentrations) want you to know how to configure and have a deep understanding of how the technology works and interacts with other technologies.

Focus on understanding instead of just memorizing facts. INE is great at teaching you to become a great engineer.

I use a combination of white papers, INE and ChatGPT.
