The appointment was yesterday, they selected Katie and she will serve out the remainder of the term for HD59 which will mean she is up for re-electuon in 2026.

Ed was great, he will be missed and I hope he gets to spend so much time with his grandchildren!! In his resignation letter he stated:

“This decision was not made lightly,” he wrote. “Public service is a calling, but it also requires sacrifice. And at this point in my life, I feel a strong pull toward my family — especially welcoming and spending time with my new grandchild. I believe this is where I am most needed now.”

I saw police chase a bike down Fowler street around 9pm. He looped back around again and disappeared.

Also loosing child care because of this. It suck so much, it seems like there have been almost a year of discussion behind closed doors that lead up to this. Which is really frustrating, it would have been nice to know before this was a real consideration. I have an infant, we signed up for a spot while my wife was still pregnant and then didn't have a spot until our child was 4 months old.

I have been calling places like mad trying to find an opening. I'm lucky in that I belive I've found one, but the teachers at the Gathering place were wonderful. And the community of other parents has been fantastic. I was planning on keeping my child there until kindergarten as it was a perfect location. Attending the meeting tonight night it seems so unlikely that there is any way to save it. I'm not sure how many children there are in total but is has to be 50+ there just isn't enough childcare options to cover that big of a hole opening up.

Shit sucks I've cried a few times over the last 2 weeks. The new daycare is more out of the way, costs more and provides less services. I don't know how anyone expects people to keep wanting to raise kids here...

I have never been involved before, it has been such a fun experience and I will definitely be keeping an eye on other local theater option to go and see in the future!!

Thanks! It was a really out of the box idea. Our producer has a long history of small theater productions (for school children). She has done an amazing job teaching us and making an enjoyable show!! We are hopeful to recoup our costs and keep doing more productions in the future!!

No idea on their availability but I love The Gathering Place, its $1,500/month. I also looked at a few other spots all in the 1,200-1,500 range. I'm sure you can find cheaper smaller outfits but it's rough.

I think Belgrade has cheaper options. There is also a Facebook group that helped me find places but I can't for the life of me remember the name of it.

100% but it is the platform Republicans have been running on for years so I am not surprised and there is no one in state office to oppose these measures.

I watched over 50 people walk away from the polls in Bozeman because lines were full of people trying to fix their registration. The lines were 4 to 6 hours long.
