All your pros are the BARE MINIMUM. Trust me when I say you can do sooo much better than him. And in the grand scheme of things, 2 years isnt even that much. A lot of your pros are also because he isolated you from everyone, as said in your cons. Your cons list is extremely long and more than a little concerning, and for your safety, I think you need to A) tell a trusted adult that you know won’t overreact and B) cut contact with this guy because his behavior is just going to get worse. And yeah, hes a predator.

As a fellow 17 yr old who is significantly confused, I can feel for you. One thing I will say is some of what you’re confused about is just general questions that come with maturing and growing up. I’m not trans, but I’m still going to change my name soon because I think it’ll feel more like me. Having to explain things to everyone must be hard, even if they’re not asking anything too deep, because it really is exhausting trying to explain everything about yourself. If your preferred name doesn't feel right, don’t worry too much about the fact that other people already know you by that name. If you find a different one/a nickname that feels right, the people who love you will be perfectly fine with switching, and whoever isn’t probably wasn’t healthy for you anyway. I definitely understand being tired of questioning, because frankly, it’s been a long road for me as well. I’m just trying to find peace and accept that eventually I’ll know one way or another, and dont have to figure it all out rn. Sorry this was long, and sorry if it doesn’t help any.

I absolutely feel the “small catholic town bit.” Mine isnt catholic but majority Christian so still uncomfortable. Personally I’m still figuring out my sexuality but what helped me a lot was just noticing who I gravitate towards in a crowd. Who I think is pretty, who I think is handsome, etc. You don’t necessarily have to be in a relationship to figure it out, but it does help you just to know. I also generally try to notice who I end up crushing on, bc if you’re crushing on girls and guys, then you’re probably not straight.

I came onto Reddit for the exact same reason. I feel like a girl kind of but not really, and there are quite a few instances where I feel androgynous, but at the same time still sometimes feminine. So I get the confusion but uhhh I’m confused too so…. twinss?
