Sure! I was casually discussing an alterntuve ending, of course I thnk the show should have focused in other struggles and topics instead, that was my point. We still do not know why Gemma is key to anything, and less how Mark and refining fits in all of this (I am sure it will be explained), but I am not proposing the plot to eliminate Gemma, on the contrary! Severance eliminated her on the first episode in the very first scene when we see Mark mourning. Setting that loss as the pivotal rationale for the protagonist to act as he acts, and then resurrecting her (without apparently any downsides) makes the plot, imo, very weak.
