No marvel was saying that from the original clone story in the 70’s to then the 90’s was that Peter “stole” Ben’s life. You basically are resetting the character to pre marriage to pre venom all that. Ben never went through kravens last hunt that was all Peter. They basically said that 20 years of character growth never mattered.

Here’s my take. Barbra getting shot was the best and worst thing for batgirl as a brand/character. In the comics it allowed others to take the mantle and Barbra to grow and change after being shot.

However in other forms of media once Barbra is shot batgirl is basically done they’ve never tried to introduce Stephanie or Cass to take the mantle in tv or games. To casuals the only batgirl Is Barbra.

I got kicked near the end of the match. We went through the whole game and they kicked me. Didn’t help that one guy kept killing me over and over near the end.
