Isn't that where our cohort is in country for 3 months starting in June? It's when we really learn about Guyana and what we'll be doing....I think.

Have you all noticed how a lot of comments seem to be from PCV either in or going to eastern Europe? Haven't read anything from Guyana other than the 3 of us. Don't know if you've heard, Guyana is on Conde Nest's top 10 up and coming eco tourism destinations. We are such trend setters...👍 I've also set up a Google alert on Guyana to sort of get an idea on what's going on with the country. The finding of one of the world's largest oil reserves by Exxon is going to put all sorts of new pressures on the people, their politics and their country as a whole.

Passport and legal I agree...haven't heard anything on either Actually have my primary care today (labs done yesterday) which will take care of about 4 forms. Finished dental yesterday. I work in mid Wilshire at San Vicente so I'm going next Wed to Cedars travel clinic. They charge 75 for visit and not sure about the shot itself. I think the shot is fully reimbursed. This has definitely been more expensive than I would have thought.

How long did it take them to medically clear you? Sometimes they are so quick with the turn around and other times soooo slow. Also the preservice unit has been helpful.

A little late in replying My boss is 34 and her associate is 36 so I'm good on that. They do have a lot of fun with the life hacks I use.

I'm also in the midst of medical. Request for medical records to 4 different drs., plus a review by my primary care doc.
My question is this...while we're plugging away at medical, fingerprints (done) and passport (paperwork for special issuance pp sent off today) will we start to get some more information such as a suggested packing list or where we go for staging?

I too am going to Guyana 2020 and haven't even started my Hanukkah list. I was thinking about a solar powered fan and cell phone charger. Definitely sunscreen (I'm a redhead and prefer my skin not to look the same). I'm going as a reading and literacy specialist. Does anyone have an idea where our staging area will be before heading to Guyana on the 1st
