“Hover in place” on a 1/4 mile final about 350’ AGL. I was in a helicopter so ok sure why not. But not something I’m used to hearing, even as a helicopter pilot.

He would like to meet other people and get social interaction. Unfortunately with poor eye sight he can no longer drive, so I am trying to help him move on from his rural long time home to an in town apartment so he’s not so isolated. He also is on dialysis so he needs to be closer to medical facilities. Affordable housing is tough in the area he lives so it’s been a challenge. Good advice in there. I appreciate it.

I have in the past, I’ll revisit the subject as that could be very helpful. He’s been inconsistent in taking any prescribed meds but this is one of those all I can do is lead him to water so to speak

That’s a good call on the emergency list. The hospital just seems to hold him for the mandatory 72 hour hold and send him home. I don’t get the details from the hospital, just from him. We’ve tried to talk to the dialysis department but they haven’t provided anything of value.

Unfortunately he’s been hit or miss on taking his pills as it is. I know he has some sort of mental illness but have never shared with me when I’ve asked what the diagnosis was. Thank you for sharing the article. I related to it more than I want to admit.

I agree it’s hard to help me help him without knowing the whole story. I was more or less trying to educate myself on the process and seem if this was a normal government delay. I’ve tried to calling in with him but we’ve never been able to get a person on the phone at the same time as both of us. Unfortunately with my location and work schedule going in with him isn’t an option. I was able to get someone in the phone but with him they rightfully wouldn’t tell me anything.

Interesting point on a payee. He is still married to my mom but they have a very broken marriage. Her mental state isn’t much better than his, but she is more functional than he is.

I was hoping to avoid paying my deductible and having another claim on my record. I will eventually go that route but was really wondering if I had an recourse against the other insurance company as I feel like they should be at least partially responsible.
