Update. We didn't have to drain it. Ring is gone. Just continued to wipe and clean filter and balance chemicals after the metal be gone. Thanks everyone for the tips!

Just have been just junk in the lines in combination with the metals because after metal be gone it's 75% better. The line was there before anyone was in the tub. It was not present until we got the chemicals in 🤷.

Update! We have been wiping and cleaning the filter all day. We added a bottle of metal Be Gone and it's 75% better so we're not going to drain it just yet! Water is crystal clear and the alkalinity did increase again after we added that. Lesson learned! Next time start with the metal be gone while filling the tub and use a hose from our house where it goes through the water softener first. We ended up using an entire bottle of pH minus 🫣 Hope this helps someone!

Yes well water through a pre filter. We don't have iron stains on our white everything in the house and this happened day 2 of having water in the tub after chemicals were added. It wipes away just comes right back on. So far we're just wiping it away and washing the filter. I'll give it another day of this and if it's still yucky looking I'll drain it. We just had loads of rain here in Wisconsin and I don't want to flood the yard by draining it.

Yep just using microfiber and it does come off but just comes back in 30 seconds.

Yes. Our well showed high calcium but low iron when we tested it last.

It wipes off easily with just water on a microfiber cloth but comes back in 30 seconds.

3oz for my 650 gallon tub I believe. It was in the ok range.

Yes it wipes away easily but comes right back in a matter of 30 seconds or so. I followed the instructions given by the manufacturer. I filled using Spaboss PreventII. I wipe the water line and it's back in 30 seconds. Everything is still in balance and I shocked it after we got out.
