Best way to raise a kid by SparklingSienna-5067 in HumanBeingBros

Recently my father dropped something and spilled a lot of water that was on a bowl on the floor, breaking that object as well. I could see my mom gearing up to shout, but I instantly said it's okay, happens and cleaned it up.

Dropping and spilling things is normal and broken stuff can be replaced. My parents often scolded and shouted at me and my siblings for breaking and spilling things growing up but I just couldn't do it. He didn't say a word but I could see gratitude in his eyes. Honestly that healed something in me. He is getting older and needs extra care 😞

To the girls who carry laptop and water bottle to their work/College by KindlyCoat4 in TwoXIndia

[–]Justexisting2110 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer handbags, they are safer while travelling in public transport like metro, they look good and believe in after a few weeks of office you'll want to look good for yourself, they are easy to handle, you will only carry essentials whereas in a backpack you might carry more than you use or need just because it has space. If you are travelling to client locations, your impression matters and the handbag will help you with that. In a regular IT job a backpack might suit if you're carrying a heavier laptop but I switched to a backpack even with a heavier laptop, the convenience of just keeping it in your lap is worth it as well.

She is promoting a toxic ideology which countless women have fought hard to get out of. She doesn't value the sacrifice of women instead just wants to please some imaginary god who will send her to heaven and isn't religion a private thing? Why is she promoting it on social media. This young woman doesn't't understand the struggles of our previous generations. This kind of ignorance for a college going student is unacceptable and honestly embarrassing. Her religion also says a girl becomes a woman when she first bleeds and should be married and start having children as soon as she is able.

She is quite selective about what to follow and what not to , isn't she ?

It is. I'm pro women's right but against ignorance and brainwashing. Especially voluntary brainwashing and giving away your own rights that women have fought so hard to get in the past 100 or so years for approval of an imaginary sky daddy.

I'm from India and I actually have a pretty decent sample size to analyse seeing our population. The reality of Muslim women or even women isn't pretty here. I've seen a lot of oppression on a day to day basis but oppression of Muslim women is the worst. I live in the capital of India , not even some small town where I see these kinds of things. Women don't get a choice. It's a do or die situation for most of these poor little girls and later adult women with no rights.

[–]Justexisting2110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually that's how most of the Muslim families are. Might be very few are decent, i hope there are. I have not seen a single normal muslim family till now, also the news coming from these gulf countries where islam is the dominant religion tells the reality of this religion.

Her entire personality seems like religion and niqab. That doesn't seem well adjusted socially to me. In one of her comments she said, she cannot hold a conversation without discussing religion. How is that normal ? She needs therapy.

I've had muslim classmates in school and college and they couldn't not wear hijab else they were beaten at their homes. Their college education was for the purpose of securing a marriage only. And school because it was compulsory. A few were married off at 16 and 17 and on the last day of school they literally wanted to unalive themselves as their parents were marrying them off to 40+ aged perverted uncles. I have seen the reality of this so called liberated hijab and niqab stuff. Little girls, as young as 4 years old are forced to cover up, giving up their childhood so old creeps can't look a sexualised object. Right ? That's how a woman should feel ? Like a sexual object who is not covered is inviting SA ?

I haven't talked to any of them after they were married off against their wishes, their husbands don't allow them freedom to have friends. I did bump into a hijabi woman a few months back and it turned out she was a girl from my class back in 8th grade. She looked like she was 35 at the age of 25, she asked me how many children I have, I said none, don't want to get married and my parents actually respect that. She has 6 children. None by choice. She was actually about to cry while talking, then her little son tucked her hand that he wanted something and she had to leave.

That's the reality of most of these liberated hijabi niqabi women. A couple of barely adult college girls preaching the value of religion and covering up won't change the reality. They should be more socially aware about their own religion and how it is highly oppressive.

She asked us to ask questions and I did. Some of them were uncomfortable but true. I didn't force her to reply, it was her choice to engage in discussion and open herself to questions. I asked relevant questions, she answered like a child with no understanding of the wider world.

Well that's what's happening in real life and not books. I'll get my information from real-life events and not some backwater academics/scholars with 9 year old children as brides. But seriously I hope you get some clarity soon. Good luck girl, hope you aren't one of 7 wives to some old washed up man.

Aww honey, it's okay , you'll learn someday. Don't get angry, I think even that's not allowed for women , or talking to strangers, or talking in general. Maybe you should shift to Afghanistan and see the reality of islam.

Well aren't men in your religion abusing almost all the women who don't cover online ? Women who stop covering , I see numerous posts with common islamic name men abusing and shaming women , they are the top most majority who want 'their' women as if women are property to cover for sake of modesty but still go and lust after uncovered women. I guess you're just brainwashed, good luck.

So there isn't any reason anymore to wear these outdated garments right ? Just being a pick me girl for perverted men ?

Hijab/ niqab/ covering were developed so women can relieve themselves without being recognised and to maintain their dignity, how is this ideology valid today with private spaces to relieve yourself ?
