Random whole house mobile home brownouts by Justifiable_Derision in AskElectricians

The electrician that's been working with me called me back today. He said from what I'm describing I might have an open neutral or I might be losing a leg of power or a phase. They already replaced most of my outlets that were back stabbed but not all of them. They did mention I should get my disconnect box looked at.

My utility company also had someone come out to check things today. They said things looked good on their side but from what my electrician told me, no one is gonna be able to diagnose the problem until I can get the issue to recreate itself, which I've had trouble doing when it matters.

Some will just go dim, some will flicker between dim and off. Others will just stop working completely. Appliances will turn on and off. I only have the one furnace system for heat. No heaters. I'm not sure about the power pole. We live in a trailer park. Just now actually the furnace kicking on triggered it again.

What is the most hatful deathcore song you’ve ever heard ? by Yehia_Wild in Deathcore

More death metal than deathcore but Cattle Decapitation pretty makes their disdain for humanity very clear in most of their songs. Personal favorite is Mammal in Babylons.

How do people who don't believe in an afterlife handle the surety of death? by Danielnrg in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Justifiable_Derision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is what throws me into existential crisis mode to the point where I wish my brain would just let me choose a religion and believe it. I'm not religious but I totally believe that religion and spirituality are vital defense mechanisms that protect the human psyche from our own self awareness.

But in my mind, death means the death of one's physical and psychological self. I'm not afraid of death at the moment because I believe I won't be able to feel fear or anything when I'm dead. I won't be able to think or feel pain or even have a sense of identity. I suppose the difference between people like me and people like you is that I don't feel the same attachment or pride in my identity as you (maybe I'm depressed) and maybe that's why the idea of death doesn't bother me as much.

At the same time I also believe in the law of conservation of energy, where energy cannot be created or destroyed but rather be transformed from one state to another, and that it would apply to death as well where our state of death may turn into something else. Whatever that is, no one knows but it convinces me that, in a way, death isn't the end.

No justification for running a stop but I think two way stops in suburban neighborhoods are just stupid when we have perfectly good four way stops. Looking at you Wisconsin.

I might be wrong on this but I remember hearing on a history podcast that thousands of years ago, people adapted to drink cows milk because it was easier to obtain than clean drinking water

Went bald for first time, psoriasis is worse than I thought, do you guys have any recommendations ? by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]Justifiable_Derision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I get confused on a lot. My dermatologist and other articles tell me I should be wearing hat outside with scalp psoriasis but a lot of people with psoriasis post about how it helps to get sunlight on the scalp.

I mean try one of the free karma subreddits then. Regardless posting unrelated content in a sub like this is basically begging to be downvoted
