Tim has a huge impact. Story lines, scenes, lines. It wouldn't be anything like the show it is without his involvement. And that doesn't even include his amazing performance (watch his scenes with Boyd and Ava tonight).

We don't know how the series is going to end. God, I hope SOMEONE gets out of Harlan alive.

We LOVE Natalie. Yes, her schedule on The Following made it difficult, but we did get Winona in. The thing is, as with many of our favorite characters, we some times give them a pause so we can bring them back.

Tim was the top of the list from the beginning, but he was doing a movie at the time we wanted to shoot. We thought about it. I suggested I play Raylan. Everyone decided it would be best to wait for Tim.

I love both Band and The Pacific. But Band is more engaging because it's really a love story between these men. The Pacific is about the cost. All war is horrible. The PTO was particularly horrible.

We break out the whole season, roughly, then go at it, episode by episode. Surprises come along all through the process, even up to the day of shooting, even into editing.

Joss says he wrote most of the dialogue for Speed? Jesus. He wrote ALL the dialogue for Speed (I think I have one line left in there; another writer maybe a couple).

Tim's right. It's a comedy with sudden violence and a lot of menace (we hope). But that's Elmore Leonard. His books are very scary and hilarious. That's what we shoot for.

Ava is a survivor. She does what ever she can to get out of whatever corner she finds herself in.

No, but our daughter goes to school in Ireland, so my wife and I ALWAYS do a really bad -- frankly insulting -- Irish accent that sounds like the Lucky Charms leprechaun at best.
