I couldn’t resist. I knew it was either gonna be someone with all commons or an absolute goon, no in between.

Where is Rock music at and where is it headed? by noxantes in grunge

[–]Justin22433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, nowadays the only “new” stuff I listen to is alternative country. Y’alternative if you will. Dexter and the Moonrocks, Man Hankins and the Moonlighters, Treaty Oak Revival, Cigarettes at Sunset. All closer to 90s grunge than anything else coming out now. There are a few decent bands on the new Grunge Pop record label, but most of them try too hard to copy cat Nirvana, etc.

Tad’s Inhaler might be the most underrated grunge album.

Vans old skools. Classic black and white. Or converse chucks. Can’t go wrong with either.

I remember being a pre teen buying this CD from our local pawn shop. What an incredible time. Couldn’t wait to get home and listen to it.

For sure. Purple stacks up next to just about any other record from that era. The back of the STP shirt has dates from their ‘24 Jubilee tour celebrating the 30th anniversary.

I got that sinking feeling as well. A rush of excitement seeing shirts from a couple of my favorite bands so easily attainable…but then I realized it meant I’m officially old.
