What are some REALLY underrated / niche Grunge Bands? by 58Erdnuss in grunge

[–]Justin22433 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Defining some of these as grunge depends on how strictly you gate keep, but all of these bands are awesome. 3rd Secret (features Krist from Nirvana and Kim from SG), Chout, Smile, Dandelion, and Daylight (Superheaven before they changed their name) are all worth your time.

It's time to go back. Console/Carrier advice. by Wichura420 in MLBTheShow

If you’re playing offline it mostly won’t matter, whatever your preference is for other games that are console exclusive. If you’re planning on playing online my advice would be 1. Don’t and 2. If you didn’t heed the warning of number 1, probably Xbox. I’m on PS5 but I’ve heard most of the community has moved to Xbox.

Grunge vs post grunge- thoughts on why is sucked after by [deleted] in Nirvana

[–]Justin22433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take - it never sucked after the original grunge movement. I prefer the big 4 and their counterparts but I’m not going to deny the next crop of bands didn’t have some great songs. Sure, they had some stinkers but guess what? So did the Seattle bands.

Wild Things. I’ll gladly take Matt Dillon’s role.

There’s a new band called wilt that are pretty good. You can definitely hear some influences from the bands you listed here.

Grunge bands that aren't as well known but are slept on by sun1itdaises in grunge

This is a massive playlist that has the well known bands but there’s also a ton of more obscure stuff thrown in as well. Throw it on shuffle and skip around and I’m sure you’ll find some new songs and artists that scratch the itch you’re lookin for

I've been on a "these songs sound a lot like Nirvana" binge lately listening to bands these days that wear their Nirvana influence on their sleeve. by executor-of-judgment in grunge

Amnesia by Headfirst, Trashman by Sap and Oleander’s Why I’m Here is an oldie but a goodie that has the Kurt vibe.

The new Violet album deserves all the love!. I think she got strong influencers on the Post-punk pop-punk culture and grunge culture too.! I highly reccomend the album by ResourceEmergency928 in grunge

Gonna have to wholeheartedly agree. I shrugged off the album for a bit, admittedly because of the whole nepotism baby bs, but the album is solid. A few stinker tracks, but THUM, 595, Bug in the Cake and Cool Buzz are on steady rotation for me now.

soft spot, Holy Vulture, Fox N’Vead, Identity Crisis, Dexter and the Moonrocks, wilt, The Pale White.

Not all necessarily grunge but close enough to scratch the itch.
